Liked: This was the second time I stayed at this hostel and I can honestly say it is one of, if not the best, hostel I have ever used. It's location could not be any better, literally a 1 minute walk to the edge of the West Lake. The reception area and bar are far better than most (far more expensive) hotels I have ever stayed in. The bar offers western and chinese food, tea, coffee and beer. The rooms are clean, warm/cool (depending on the season) and the beds are comfortable. If you are going to Hangzhou you should definitely stay here.

Liked: I love the atmosphere. Very friendly and lovely decoratet, many space to save the laguage. Nice rooms and Kitchen to cook together and make new friends :3

Liked: Great for the money!!

Disliked: The associated restaurant/bar is a bit pricey; the small coffee wasn't worth the high cost. If you are a coffee drinker, walk about 10 minutes down the street to the local Starbucks - good view of the lake and much better coffee.

Disliked: A lick of paint would have improved my room tremendously.

Liked: The location is awesome and the bedroom is cozy and clean, the locker is very big to save my suitcase.

Disliked: I was sent to stay in sec floor which means I need to carry the heavy suitcase up to sec floor, it was painful. And the tolets locates in the corridor stinks~

Liked: Its location is very good. The TV had a number of English channels. The restaurant was very good. The bar beside the hostel is a lot of fun, with good beer and good music.

Disliked: The staff was less than friendly.

Liked: Great location. Very good washing facilities.

Disliked: The placement of lockers and arrangement of top and bottom beds are rather odd - my room-mates and myself had accidentally knocked our heads several times when using the lockers. Something should be done.

Liked: The BEST location. Don't stay anywhere else - but the location is pricey, a stone throw away from a Maserati, Porsche, Ferrari, Rollys Royce garage. Eat at Family Lu restaurant nearby, its immense. less than 100m from a very scenic and peaceful area of the lake.

Disliked: Room was a little smelly, a little expensive but the location explains that

Liked: Great location, just a few minutes walk to the West Lake. Clean. Some staffs were nice and helpful.

Disliked: - A guy checked my room (4-bed female dorm) at 11:15pm, to make sure we didn't bring more people (unpaid) back. I felt as in a college student dorm. - the computers at the lobby are very slow, and the keyboards were bad. - no common area, unless you count the small lobby/ front desk. - extremely small WC. Don't gain weight, or you will find it difficult to turn and close the door. - you'll need a taxi to go to the train station (Bus Y2 goes on 1 direction, so you can get it to the hostel, but not to the train station. Also it runs only 08:00-18:00), it costs only RMB10-12, but drivers may refuse the rides. - finally, if the lovely girls who work there can smile a bit more, it'd be great.

Liked: nothing much really, other than it's cheap..

Disliked: really need to fix the door....every time someone enter or exit the dorm room, they have to slam the door to close or open it....can't really have a good nite sleep...

Liked: The staff was really friendly and accommodating. Amazing location, clean rooms, and an awesome atmosphere.

Disliked: The AC didn't work in our room, the wifi was also pretty spotty/unusable.

Liked: The location was perfect--you stepped out the front door and you were practically on the lake. It's only a few blocks from bus stops and grocery stores, and it's quite easy to catch taxis on the nearest street. The cafe next door is quite nice if you don't want to look too far for food, although the milkshakes were underwhelming. There was almost always a line at the front desk, but the staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. Computers in the lobby were quite useful and we usually didn't have to wait long for them. Luggage storage was quite useful.

Disliked: We found it to be a bit noisy at night, but nothing we couldn't deal with. The room (we got a private double) was a bit small and spartan, especially how much we paid for it, although the furnishings were quite lovely. The advertised wi-fi was mostly only accessible in the lobby.

Liked: Nice location really close to the lake and relatively easy to find. Bikes are really close by too which is convenient. Facilities were good.

Disliked: The food and drinks are very expensive which meant that people didn't seem to hang out there which made the hostel seem a little bit unfriendly. The shower rooms weren't very clean and the limited hot water was frustrating.

Liked: Good location. The only good thing.

Disliked: Staff didn't speak english and were not helpful. The hostel doesn't offer any service or facility, like booking tickets or other things when another hostels there do. So, basically I wouldn't recommend to stay there, there's plenty better hostels in Hangzhou. They also sell 6 bed dorms but then they put extra beds to get more people in the room. Wifi was super slow or inexistent. And the common area had no AC, they had the doors open and because of that it was full of killer mosquitos. The AC in my room, also, didn't work properly.
