Liked: Nice river view, large room space. Cool activities on Chinese New Year that bring the hostelers together.

Disliked: It was freezing but both the room heater and water heater didn't work well enough. The walking path from the subway station to the hostel is a bit far and feels unsafe in the evening.

Liked: A big area for travellers to hang out with free wifi access and pool table. Bed is big and clean. Staffs are always ready to help.

Disliked: Location (a bit far from the metro station, but a great place for people who like to drink as pubs are nearby).

Liked: - Good location (nearby shops, metrostation etc.) - Nice scenery along the riverside

Disliked: - Me and my friend booked a room together but could not be put in the same dorm room upon arrival which was a bit annoying. -Though the hostel has a good central location, it was a bit hard to find from the metro station with the online description (but maybe that was just us :P). -Rooms were a bit cold and the blankets weren't too thick.

Liked: Quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Great hang-out areas in the lobby. Great rooms--clean, private, secure.

Disliked: No hostel community feeling. Couldn't reserve just one bed in a dorm room, had to pay for whole thing.

Disliked: - a soap instead of a big cleaning liquid bottle on the floor would be better. Also the bed could have been softer.

Liked: 5 minute walk from a direct metro from airport was great Very helpful staff in all matters Hostel was well equipped with facilities,food and drink Great atmosphere and interesting people hanging out in the lobby

Disliked: Will he helpful if they add chinese words in directions to reach there and make directions clearer

Liked: The location was prime for anyone interested in enjoying the nightlife. It was also a very festive five-ten minute walk from the Fangcun Metro Line stop, which was tremendously convenient. Our room was very clean, albeit pretty much as bare bones as any hostel your going to stay at. Home cooked breakfasts / snacks available for decent prices if your craving something other than the light/unhealthy China breakfast. English speaking staff was charming, as was their two cats. Kept our bags for us free of charge for a couple of hours after we checked out so we could explore some more before our train came in.

Disliked: They didn't really advertise a lot of the sights / attractions of Guangzhou, or describe any discounts that they might have offered for groups trying to see the city. Besides that though, it was everything we were looking for: clean, safe living arrangements with pretty convenient access to the city and its sights.

Liked: Close to river.

Disliked: The location is not good. Too far from Metro Station by walk. Since hostel not in main road, it is difficult to find taxi and hostel staff can't call taxi. Laundry machine not work well. Dryer machine not make our clothes dry after two hours operation.

Liked: Staff was very helpful when it came to transportation and did not hesitate to explain routes or to even talk to a cab driver to let him know the destination. The breakfast that was served was quite tasty too. Also, the location is really good especially for people who want to go on the river cruise or go to the pubs or bars. Very friendly staff and locals around are also very friendly..

Disliked: The only problem I had was my camera got missing and I suspect this was done by one of the room occupants so I guess it wasn't the fault of the hostel.

Liked: It's one of the only hostels in Guangzhou so there's not much choie.

Disliked: Pretty much everything. Check in took an hour and there was only one person ahead of me. Staff is not helpful or friendly. They let a random man come and shower in our room one day. The Wifi is terrible. I asked for coffee at 10am and they said the chef had left for the day so no one else could make coffee. It is far from everything. Subway is 15 minutes, closest 7-11 is also 15 minutes.

Liked: This location was in a great spot - close enough to the hustle and bustle, but far away enough to stay calm. It is near a lot of great night life, street food, and general supply stores - even a huge department store as well as great restaurants. It is a great value for the money, and is incredibly well maintained and cleaned very often.

Disliked: It is a little difficult to find if you have never been there before, and the locals do not really know about it. Definitely have a taxi driver/someone call the number of the hostel before trying to get there, though the directions they provide are accurate.
