Liked: Very clean and nice place to stay. Staff are friendly and helpfull. Metrostation is quite near so it's easy to go to the city. I would higly recomend this hostel. But bee sure not to visit when it's cold weather, no heating and inside it's freezing. But the staff provided me extra blankets.

Liked: It's location by the banks of the Pearl River was great and the neighbourhood was quiet and pleasant.It was a 15 minute walk from the nearest MTR. A balcony room was quite an asset.

Liked: We enjoyed a Autumn Moon Festival party which was lovely, the beer is very cheap (please keep it like this?) the staff were really friendl and helpful, the location, once you get there is pretty good if you can navigate the subwey and ferries.

Liked: Saw a small rat or big mouse in the lobby at two evenings.The rooms with 'river view' are not worth the name, because trees don't allow a view to the river. Better rent a normal room. Maybe they are even quieter facing to the other side.Bad smell in the room. Found out that from the bathroom and that from the ventilation, so turn it off or close the bathroom door, if you want to breathe in your room.Anyway not a bad price, location and hostel. Free wlan (but charge for pc use).

Liked: Good hostel with everything you need and helpful staff. There was no lift to my room however which is a bit of a pain and the doors in the bathroom didn't close properly - need a bit of renovation in the dorms. Otherwise nice stay.

Liked: This is an excellent place to stay. Its more like a hotel, than a hostel. The rooms are very nice, clean and well furnished. The staff are extremely helpfull. The Lobby is a lovely place to meet people. We had a great time here. Even extended for an extra night. Transport to go to different parts of the town is almost on the doorstep. Metro, Bus and Ferry. Would highly recommend.

Liked: Friendly helpful staff. Good clean rooms. Air con was not great, which meant it was hot at night, but hostel was generally ok. Great location, particularly for going out drinking. Staff will recommend good restaurants also.

Liked: Clean, bacon sandwiches, friendly staff, good location on bar street (but not noisy) and close to metro, nice sized room and a spacious communal area. However, the internet was ridiculously slow and not worth 4 RMB an hour. Plus our clothes came out of the laundry with a nasty smell.

Liked: the place was clean,quite ,and people around me was nice.but the only thing that i really appreciate the kindness of the receptionists was very helpful and they help you specially when you don't speak Chinese and i can recommend anybody to go there as it the best place to stay

Liked: Nice location on the Pearl River. 10 min walk to the metro. Air con was a blessing in the sweltering heat. The other IYH Hostel by the train station apparently closed.

Liked: Good location, good size rooms, friendly and helpfull staff, would be nice to have a better kitchen. We've enjoyed our stay here. It was better than some of the hotels we've stayed in.

Liked: Whilst I'm not a big fan of Guangzhou, the Riverside YHA was a nice place to stay with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Food and drinks at the bar are very reasonable!

Liked: have been 2 nights in 6 bed dorm. staff is hapeful and friendly when not to busy.everything is clean. negative was that they didn't have a drying maschine in such a big hostel, but overall ok to stay. nice skyline-view at night. do the riverside cruise.
