Liked: Great room. Good value. Very friendly & helpful staff. Everything you need really. Nice fellow guests & a good communal area to talk to them in.

Liked: Rooms where clean, lockers very big with own charger inside and people where very friendly. Food was good to and especially in the morning with upcoming sun it's nice to sit in the garden and have breakfast. Staff was also very helpfull and provided good advice.

Disliked: Not much to dislike, only location is a bit out of city center but you can also say that's why it's nice and quiet. Furthermore it cools down quickly in the evening and they only have very small heaters (when you ask for it) which doesn't really heat up your room very well. But they have electric blankets so that makes up for this. Overall just a good hotel and very good value for money

Liked: EVERYTHING! best hostel we have stayed in in china! Staff were lovely and helpful. They booked bus tickets with no commission and a free pick up. Food was delicious and well priced. Free Internet with access to Facebook. Everything about this place is just done right!

Liked: Probably one of the best places i have stayed in China. Good atmosphere to meet fellow travellers and good trips at a good price. Really good internet connection with facebook access. Food is good and at a reasonable price.

Liked: Room, beds, shower, toilet, shared areas all clean and well maintained. Lives up to the hype. Very friendly staff.

Disliked: Did not have a train ticket booking service which meant a 2 hour trek to and from the train station, and a less than pleasant time getting the tickets.

Liked: To me, it's the best hostel in Asia. Three years after first visit, still a great place to stay. Jane is terrific, even set me up with another tennis player. Thanks, Jane

Liked: Clean rooms and clean bathrooms. Good location and great services

Disliked: Some staff members are better than others. One night it was pretty loud because of the some of the staff members. But one of the best places that I stayed in China. I also stayed at Jade Roo and I taught Jade Emu was far better.

Liked: - friendly and helpfull staff, - great atmosfeer if you are travelling alone and want to meet other travellers, - clean and good room, - free dvd rental, - they have a board with gives you tips what to visit + offer tours - free wifi

Disliked: If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is not the place. It's a real backpack hostel with great atmosfeer, very helpfull and nice people, pooltable, grreat tours, good music etc, but if you look after a quiet evening in your room bring earplugs.

Liked: The staff spoke English pretty well, and I loved the tours made available by the hostel. I also loved that I could access Facebook and other such sites, which is rare in China.

Disliked: The atmosphere wasn't was cozy and inviting as other hostels I've stayed at.

Liked: It is a great place. I love it when you get free towels, free shampoo :) its great that the lockers have electricity. Just a great plcae and very nice people.

Liked: Excellent place, def one of the best places we have stayed in the last 6 months of travelling and def the best in China. The rooms are such good value and everything has been thought of. Lots of great facilities, especially the free washing machine! Having all the transport/trip options in the menu is a good idea so you don't have to hassle staff. Good food as well, liked the make your own sandwich option.

Disliked: The only thing I can think of is that the ozzie pie on the menu needs gravy!! Nice pie but a bit too dry.

Liked: Still the best! Chilled out; excellent location; great pool table; competent kitchen that shines when it comes to Western food; lots of travel information; decent deals on day trips

Liked: Really a nice place to stay, very nearby the old center, just 5 min. walk. (A lot of people wrote you have to cross a highway, yes you have, but that's really no problem!) Friendly and very helpfull staff, a big nice clean dormroom, a nice area to stay and good for making friends! And...please taste the Lamb-pie, it was delicious! (Have a good kitchen!)

Disliked: Nothing (for the dorms, the shower is by the toilet, but the staff keeps it clean very well!)

Liked: The lovely bread rolls! It's nice to be able to satisfy one of those cravings for western food & not be disappointed (cheese too).

Disliked: It would have been perfect if there had been another shower & toilet.

Liked: Great place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was great. The twin ensuite was spacious and clean with a nice bathroom. It is located just outside of the old town, just a 5 minute walk.

Disliked: The boat cruise that we booked through the hostel wasn't great. It lasted for half of the time stated and transport back was not arranged like we were told it would be. Other than that everything was wonderful!
