Liked: this hostel is the best i've ever stayed in. They offer everything you can think of, and the rooms are spacious and clean. More like hotel standard.!!! Amazing place

Liked: The hostel has the nicest rooms of all the hostels we have stayed in , in china. The food is great and the staff are very helpful , would definitely recommend it as a place to stay in Dali.

Liked: Appears clean, tidy. The bathroom is very clean compared to most hostels out there. Very relaxed atmosphere, maybe too relaxed for some? Some things like drinks and DVD borrowing work on honor system, but there is potential for abuse. But in general, a great place to stay.

Disliked: The water pressure was too low in the shower. There were a lot of flies in the common area but I suppose this is unavoidable.

Liked: This Hostel is excellent. There's a ton of of facilities, including a pool table, ping pong table, 2 courtyards with bars, 2 tv rooms, book exchange, and much more. They had a restaurant with good, fair priced food (particularly the breakfasts). Everything is provided, from towels to shampoo and soap ijn the showers. The staff was very helpful in booking tours in and around Dali, however some of them were new and had some difficulty giving directions. This is easily the best value hostel I've seen in China, and would definitely return if I returned to Dali.

Liked: Our favourite hostel to date after 10 months of traveling. Lovely place, everything was just right. Really clean, great value, location, friendly... all the little things had been thought of. So nice. Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Dali (which too is lovely). Thanks!

Liked: Definitely lives up to its reputation - certainly is one of top hostels in Asia without a doubt. Great staff, excellent rooms with phenomenal views, and all the services and facilities you could ever wish for! Highly recommended

Liked: This place is every bit as great as the reviews say. Rooms are big, airy and bright. Everything is clean and tidy. There's a good selection of DVDs that you can watch in your bedroom. Staff are friendly and yes, the owners live here, so are always around for a chat or to help out. Oh, and the beds have proper duvets, just like home!

Liked: We liked the place and recommend it very much. Its location just outside the West part of the wall is excellent for exploring the nice parts of the old city. Service and atmosphere were very good. Only the showers on the third floor were too scarce on water.

Liked: I have been traveling around Asia for over 4 months and this is by far the best hostel that I have ever stayed in. The location is excellent, right on the edge of the old town, the staff are very friendly and helpful giving advice and tips about traveling around Yunnan, there is a great atmosphere around the bar, common area and pool table, the toilets, showers and rooms are all exceptionally clean. The hostel is more like a hotel in terms of comfort and there are lots of small extras that just make it a comfortable place that you want to stay. For example big comfortable beds even in the dorms, proper security lockers with power sockets inside so you can charge your phone and laptop, shower gel, hand soap and shampoo in all bathrooms, a box of tissues and a kettle in all rooms, reading light for each bunk and finally a very fast internet connection with 4 computers that are free to use and wifi that is available everywhere throughout the hostel. And the internet is setup so that you can access facebook, blogger, wordpress etc without and difficulties which is unusual for China.I checked in for 1 night and stayed for 11. During this time I met various backpackers who were were staying there for their second or third time on their trip as it is the type of place you want to return to.
