Xiaguan Bus Station: a taxi to the Jade Emu will cost 40RMB - this is the standard rate for locals as well. The taxi driver will not use a meter to get to Dali Old Town. Alternatively, you can catch a taxi to Xiaguan train station for 5RMB and follow the instructions below for getting here.

Xiaguan Train Station: Catch the No.8 Bus outside the train station (1.5 RMB). Get off at the West Gate in Dali Old Town (the last stop, approx. 30 mins). Cross the highway and turn left. You will pass the transit police building. Walk about 500m until you see the Jade Emu sign on a wall, turn right up a small street, walk 50m, turn right again and you will see the Jade Emu entrance

Dali Old Town: Some mini-buses from Kunming will drop you off in Dali Old Town. With our map it is an easy walk to the Guest House. Alternatively, a taxi will cost 10RMB.

Dali Airport: A Taxi from the airport will cost 80-100 RMB

LiJiang: Ask the bus driver to drop you of at Dali Old Town as most long distance buses end up in XiaGuan (Dali New City). Print our map and make your way here by foot or taxi (10RMB).
