Liked: The main benefit of this hostel is the location - less than 10 minutes from Tiananmen Sq and a subway station. You can easily get to anywhere in Beijing from here. The hostel also has a really good atmosphere in the communal areas. The cafe-bar area is open til 1am and has a huge tv screen with a great selection of films and music. Guests can borrow board games, books and a guitar.

Disliked: Our bedroom wasn't very clean, even though cleaners were supposed to come in everyday to clean it. There were no mosquito nets either so it definitely wasn't insect-free and we got quite badly bitten. Although some of the staff speak English and are friendly, the hostel was obviously more interested in making money out of its guests than helping them - the tours they offer are really overpriced, and when we asked them to book us a taxi to the airport they wanted to charge us 100% commission on the taxi ride!

Liked: The best is the location

Disliked: the worst, as whole Beijing and China, is the lack of cleaniless, but it was clean enought. For us it has too many young people always in the bar. It was a hostel or a Pub?

Liked: Brilliant location, staff very helpful and the common area is one of the best I've seen in a hostel, great place to meet other travellers.

Disliked: Room wasn't very clean and the bathroom was pretty dirty.

Liked: it's got a really good tv room. the food is nice and reasonably priced. nice staff.

Disliked: not clean AT ALL. it seemed like it was falling apart, with loose tiles everywhere and generally in a state of disrepair.

Liked: Excellent hostel. Great place to meet people. Very friendly atmosphere and lots of socialising compared to other hostels we've stayed at. The downstairs common area/bar restaurant was always busy and sometimes difficult to get a seat. Great location, good comfort food at hostel but lots of cheap, inexpensive restaurants on the street outside. A lady sells some great 'Beijing Egg Muffins' just down the road on the corner for Y2!! Finally, the wall trip was fantastic. You get to hike on a section of the wall with no other tourists other than the group of backpackers on your bus which in our case numbered around 20. You also get a great lunch included. A very special trip and thoroughly recommended!! All in all, a great stay in Beijing!!

Liked: Staff is SUPER friendly, and the place is well set up. The best hostel I've been to. However, the downside is there's no kitchen or place to store drinks or food so you mostly rely on the restaurant at the hostel.

Liked: The staff are very helpful and the atmosphere is good but there are no facilities for hanging washing and the computers are expensive though there is one computer that is free.

Liked: STAY HERE!!!this is possibly the best hostel in china, the rooms are very clean, the staff are so friendly and bend over backwards to help you, the location is excellent, and the common room is perfect for meeting other travvelers, roll on the 60pence beer!!

Liked: Awesome hostel with a lovely atmosphere. Good size, perfect common areas for hanging out and meeting new people. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and the bar had good prices. The location was perfect, however the ongoing roadwork on the street just outside where a bit disturbing.

Liked: Ok, we stayed at Leo for 5 days, and had a very good time. The location is great, the place is cheap, nice staff and good atmosphere. The facilities such as billiards, huge television, bookexchange etc make this place even better! Definitly a recommandable place to stay!!!
