Liked: It was a really nice place to recover. Nice location, nice staff. The only thing that could be changed is the explenation of the direction to it. Add a distance to 'walking along the bank of the river' The rest was perfect! Thanks!

Liked: Sleepy Inn is great if you want to come home to a quiet area after a day of navigating the crowds in the centre of Beijing. It is between two lakes, and situated amongst some hutongs and local shops and restaurants. If you don't speak chinese it can be difficult to find something to do in the immediate area but if you cross the road and walk along the bigger lake you soon come to more bars and restaurants with english menus or pictures of food to help! The subway is a ten minute walk away too, as are a pharmacy and larger supermarket, so it is quite convenient. I would definately stay again, for the peaceful atmosphere around the hostel!

Liked: The staff was delightful, friendly and very helpful. They also offered additional services such as tours to the Great Wall and to the Beijing Opera which were terrific! Sleepy Inn is located in a wonderful part of Beijing.

Liked: Simple and clean, but noisy if you are in the room I was, which was near the communal areas which everyone had to walk past to get to their rooms.

Liked: The location was in an area where you got to see how the local community live, fishing in the man made lakes and socializing with one another in the late afternoons. The staff were extremely helpful and thoughtful.

Liked: Relaxed atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. I liked this hostel so much I came back on my return visit. The dorm rooms were slightly cramped but were value for money. I have recommended this hostel to a number on travellers.

Liked: Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Hostel was very clean.Postings in lobby should include more information regarding warnings to tourists about scams (for example: English-speaking girls who befriend tourists in Tiannamen Square, then scam them at tea ceremonies and/or dinners). Also, staff should tell guests about the other lake (across the street), which has more restaurants, shops, bars, etc. than the lake where Sleepy Inn is... We didn't see the other side until our last day. :(

Liked: The Sleepy Inn is set in a beautiful hutong on the lake. the staff were friendly and the room was spotless. the location maybe slightly out of the way but once you get to know where things are, you are set. the tube station is only a 6 minute walk away. this was our favorite hostel in China! if you are looking for a hopping bar this is not the place but you are close to all the nightlife of the north lakes area!

Liked: Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly. Fantastic location close to hutongs, pretty lakes, nice bars, restaurants and cafes. 10 minute walk (beside lake) to subway stop. Central area but with lots of character. Clean, quiet and safe. Hot showers with the power to blow your hair off - if you've just come off the train you'll think you've gone to heaven!
