Liked: good location good food at the restaurant, for good price

Disliked: - we stayed 5 days and room has not been cleaned once. - shared bathroom not very clean. - sanitaries very old, some toilet doors don't close. - people are allowed smoking in the restaurant!

Liked: The Hostel is located in a traditional Hutong in the center of Beijing. It is a beautiful place and uneblievable high value for money. I stayed in the double room no. 111 with private bathroom. It was around 20sqm, nice and clean.

Disliked: Free Wifi in the Lobby kills the communication among travellers.

Liked: We liked that the hostel is close by the trainstation and forbidden city. The dormetory room was big and spacious andthe beds were good.

Disliked: The staff was very loud and they don't speak english very well...

Liked: I really like the hostel, as it is very convinient to reach from the main railway station. The rooms were clean and the staff always friendly if you had any question

Disliked: The hostel is not like a proper hostel, so if you want to meet people it's not the perfect place. But except for that it was a very pleasant stay.

Disliked: after you arrive they jack the price up from what is advertised online and then for further nights triple the price, the wifi was incredibly slow and the food was pretty poor and over priced

Liked: We had a great double room with heating, big bathroom, free wifi and big bed. The staff here were superb and we booked tours and show tickets with transport which were excellent. Good location too near metro.

Disliked: I have one criticism and it is that the restaurant food was not so great.

Liked: The hostel is super-clean. AND... Lockers in the 8-bed room are big enough for a backpack! Oh, the rooftop patio is lovely -- we watched the sun set over tiled roofs.

Liked: I was staying in a double room with attached bathroom and I was pleasantly surprised by quality of the room (spacious with decent furniture). The breakfast options in the on-site cafe were good (c.£2.50 extra). Also, it was quiet, which is not always easy to come by in Beijing!

Disliked: Compared to some hostels it didn't seem to be very sociable or characterful. Also the location is a bit of a pain as the nearest metro is about a 10 minute walk away, and there aren't any interesting sites nearby (the nearest is the Forbidden City which is a 30 minute walk)

Liked: Stayed at this hostel during very cold weather, and so didn't appreciate the intermittent central heating and lack of hot showers. Staff friendliness was hit and miss. Would stay here in the warmer months, but not during the colder months.

Liked: Placed in an small hutong. A small tourist information desk inside the hostel, that affords a lot of different tours an tickets. Very nice staff! The twin ensuite rooms are really big and nice. If I go to Beijing once more, I would definitely stay here again. A lot of food (and breakfast) to choose among on the hostel´s menu, and quite cheap internet on good computers. About 5 minutes walk to the closest subway station. English speaking staff. I can´t think of anything that is bad here, the best hostel I´ve ever stayed in.

Liked: A hostel worth it price, situated in a hutong area that is not crowded with tourists. The lokal life is going on around you. Exactly what I wanted.

Liked: The hostel was easy enough to find, with the help of locals and some directions. The staff was good, but small, making some of the processes like checking-in or getting food sometimes pretty difficult. It is also a place that many different travelers use, making it a safe place to store your things and sleep for the night. But unfortunately for these rooms, they were quite dirty: the bathroom drain was clogged, the tile was filthy, and the beds needed to be cleaned long before we arrived. Also, there are no towels, television accesses, or wi-fi internet, making some of the email checking and picture uploading impossible. Overall, a 7 or 6.5 out of 10.

Liked: The Staff was amazing- helping out with tours to transportation. Friendly and very welcoming. The cafe served a lovely breakfast, lunch and dinner... best hostel I have ever stayed it!!

Liked: The room was very spacious, clean and there was an internet connection in my room for my laptop free of charge. My room had an outside window although not all of them have. Restaurant offered very good food. Nice atmosphere and lovely hutong. Only to bad that the price of the room during the games was 880 instead of the 220 that I payed when I was there. Would have loved to go back but that was not an option. Shame that they don't give special offers to returning guests.
