Liked: The staff was very helpful and friendly. They gave right and correct information.

Disliked: The hostel did not provide the towels, soap. The environment protection can not be given as the excuse for not providing the basic amenities. Even the bathroom was not well maintained.

Liked: I really like the open area in the hostel. Different people would gather and play there. You will be able to meet a lot of friends there and you will not feel lonely.

Disliked: The only thing needed to be improved is cleanliness. The cleanliness in the dorm was ok, but not so good for the public toilet and bathroom of the hostel.

Liked: Air con in the common room.

Disliked: NO AIR CON in the rooms. We are not air-con freaks, but it is a MUST in Beijing. There aren't any fans either. So freaking hot and humid.

Disliked: not even a fan in the dormitory, it's impossible to sleep in there. i suggest to go somewhere else

Liked: Staff are very helpful and friendly, and hostel is in a great location in the city for exploring all the hutongs and new cafes/restaurants etc near the Confucius temple. And also very close to subway, so very convenient to travel all over the city. The hostel is in a remodeled factory, which is very interesting, and is right in the heart of a hutong so it has a nice neighborhood feel and also an urban feel.

Disliked: The only complaint we had was that the room, especially the bathroom, was not as clean as we would have liked. But based on our experiences in other places in China, this was not a huge problem, just something upon which to improve.

Liked: Stayed there for a second time, this time in a private. It's a loft, so don't expect this to be a nice 5-star hotel. Basically warehouses converted into residential space. Good to experience this for a change, and the location in the middle of tiny Beijing streets with real Chinese life is perfect.

Liked: I would not recomend the double room without shower, it was like staying in a basement. The room had a weird smell and with no aircondition everything was moist all the time. Not the best, but cheap for Beijing and nice staff.

Liked: Close to subway was a plus (once I found it), yet lack of A/C was a big stumbling block. I was told that dorm rooms were without A/C, and coupled with a lack of fan or ventilation it seems that anything hotter than my early-mid June stay could get intolerable. I would recommend this hostel during mild weather.

Liked: The lounge area was cool. Internet was reliable and staff help out alot. Some info might not be the most correct for what you are looking for but it gets you in the right direction. The location was cool and the overall atmostphere of the hostel was cool. Rooms a bit chilly in the evening but all in all a great place to stay.

Liked: There is a great area to chill out, the dorms are clean and comfortable. There are DVD'S and a playstation in the lounge area. There is also a great bar with really friendly staff.
