Liked: On the very nice street with very good food. Air condition and internet in the room. Close to subway Traitional Courtyard hotel Helpful staff

Disliked: Staff doesn't speak english - at all. Moths in the room (OK better than mosquitoes...)

Liked: Great location, good value for money, a Chinese style courtyard, internet in the room was easy and good, good hot water, close to train station, good food on the street, easy to find, supermarket nearby, friendly staff even with a little language barrier, day staff spoke English ok. Check out was easier with Check-in. Typed receipt given.

Disliked: Great if you can speak a little Chinese, if not, it may be a little difficult to communicate your reservation details when you check in. (I showed them the paper with the rate that I had be quoted on the internet to pay, and even though it was all in English, the staff accepted the price written there.) Don't go there to meet fellow foreign travelers. Some Chinese travelers were loud at night in the outdoor areas outside the rooms.

Liked: If you book online, the price is very reasonable. We were very comfortable but would have liked a more sociable place. The ensuite was great and the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was well furnished and quite large for a hostel. It was an 8 min walk to Xizhemen subway station and is next to a group of 4 restaurants - recommend `my home'. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Han Tian Tang Hostel (note the name ) Internet was great in the room.

Disliked: Lack of washing facilities and indoor communal areas. Limited English spoken by staff but communication was enough. No breakfast as advertised on-line.
