Liked: As one of the best rated hostels in Beijing we've choosen the Happy Dragon Hostel for our second accommodation within our stay in the city. The staff seemed to be extraordinary friendly, just only to the costomers; unauthentically happy, you could say. The internet is for free, but the prices in the bar contrawise are very high. You can get halfprice water, coke etc. outside the hostel.

Liked: This property was cheap, and has a good location and clean rooms. However the staff are too sales orientated always trying to get you to buy their overpriced tours and food/beers. They don't like to help if you aren't doing their tours, and charge a commission to help you book train tickets.

Liked: We are traveling for 6 months through 22 countries, and Happy Dragon has been the highlight of our accommodation to date. The location, staff and facilities were excellent. If you are visiting Beijing, and are looking at different hostels - just stay at the Happy Dragon. It won't be beaten!

Liked: the main thing was-all staff had good English(i stayed in 5*hotel and i had a problem to communicate)brilliant.there was a girl named AMANDA and she was so good and helpful in any kind of requests.i deffinitely recommend this place for evbody. KATARZYNA

Liked: awesome location. DongSi Station - in the heart of town! Fantastic service and bar - had a free flow chinese dumpling party which was absolutely crazy. V clean as well. Major plus! Spacious rooms.Wireless connection and powerpoints in rooms

Liked: The hostel itself is very nice and very helpful staff. If they send you to their sister hotel right down the street decline that offer. Nobody there spoke english we didn't care for the room at all. We had a drip in our bed that soaked half of the bed. When we told them, they could pretty much care less. So, make sure you are booked at the Happy Dragon Hostel and not the hotel.

Liked: Located five minutes from the Dongsi subway stop on Line 5, the location is ideal once you actually find the place. That's its only downside: taxis have a hard time finding the place. But once you've found it the first time, you're set. Being close to a subway line is really helpful for budget travelers. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Located within the hostel there is a nice bar/restaurant which is a good place to meet fellow travelers. The breakfast they serve is a great way to start your Beijing day! Would stay here again!

Liked: The staff is friendly and willing to help. The location is kind of out of the way but they have awesome tours and a fun atmosphere. Would stay there again and recommend it to others
