Liked: Good place, people around all over the world coming, friendly staff.

Disliked: A little far from the subway station

Liked: All the staffs are very very lovely and helpful. The hygiene is very good with 24 hr hot water to take the shower, which is important in winter in Beijing. The lobby is very beautiful and many people will stay there. Just meet lots of friends that are kind there from all around the world. Must go there next time i go to bj. Btw all staffs speak fluent english.

Liked: Great location, close to buses, night market and lots of sights. The room was clean and well set up with individual shelves and lights.

Disliked: Food was a little expensive but I think that may just beca hostel food in general thing

Liked: The lobby is the most impressive setup with authentic design

Disliked: The room rate is a bit on the high side as compared to other similar property.

Liked: Good location, helpful and willing staff. Hiking trip to Great Wall organised by this - and the sister hostel in the city was a good value day out.

Disliked: No major dislikes to document. Slight shame you're unable to bring own food/drink back to the hostel.

Liked: This hostel was excellent. Not a party hostel, with everything you need for a comfortable base in Beijing.

Disliked: Expensive for a 12 bed room compared to other places in China, but I believe it is fairly standard for Beijing.

Liked: It's a perfect quiet and cosy base in a very noisy city Beijig is.

Disliked: There's nothing I didn't like about this property.

Liked: Easy to book tours, taxis and night activities (acrobatics, kung fu shows). Rooms were cleaned well everyday and the bathrooms were nice. Staff were friendly and very helpful in terms of directions and best travel routes. Food was also good - yummy and reasonably priced.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Good and very central location, staff is very helpful and speaks good english. Internet access is free for up to 30 minutes, printer is available for additional cost per page.

Disliked: The place may be hard to find without proper directions or a map. We had 2 taxi drivers who were not able to find it, but if you follow the directions emailed to you it should be no problem.

Liked: The perfect place to stay in Beijing. Perfect location, comfortable homely atmosphere and decor, and helpful friendly staff. I wouldn't swap here for the Intercontinental!!

Disliked: So nice is difficult to leave.

Liked: Staff were excellent. Double room was a good size with a fantastic bathroom. Social area had a lovely chilled out atmosphere.

Liked: Good site, a distance of 5 minutes from the Forbidden City, 10 minutes from the night market. Very courteous staff. Gasthaus is located in the heart of the antique city of Beijing.
