Liked: Very close to Tianmen square, National Palace and Wangfujing Street. Clean room and friendly staff.

Disliked: No TV and no window in the room.

Liked: The staff were especially helpful in organizing trips, shuttles, and giving advice on activities or sights around Beijing. They were knowledgable and approachable and spoke good English.

Disliked: The only thing I disliked was the set-up of the bathroom in the dorm. It only had a small door separting the toilet from the sink, and another small door separting the shower from the sink. If someone were to use the bathroom (especially at night), it was very loud and everyone could hear what they were doing. There is the option of the public bathroom downstairs though.

Liked: The private room was great, nice soft bed-a luxury for Chinese hostels, and seperate shower and toilet. Really cute atmosphere with food served in the lounge area and a courtyard to relax in the sunshine. Amazing location right next to the Forbidden City made it great for walking around and close to all the sights. People were coming from other hostels to book the hike along the Great Wall from Jingshaling to Simatai-amazing trip!

Disliked: A bit noisy early in the morning but to be expected in hostels. Not the friendliest hostel staff we have met, but welcoming nethertheles. The most expensive room we had booked in China, but the little extras like free towels and the bed being made every day made it worth it!

Liked: Great location, a lot of character, smiley staff and all the features you could really want or need in a hostel. Food is also excellent and decent value. Would definately recommend this hostel to all other travelers looking for a central base in Beijing. They even let me keep my bicycle in the hostel to keep it secure.

Disliked: Nothing really! Couldn't fault it.

Liked: The courtyard is lovely and the air-conditioning works all the time which was great, same with the hot water. I never had to wait to use the communal toilet/shower. The staff are really nice, helpful and patient!

Disliked: It's a LONG walk from Tian'anmen East Station particularly if carrying heavy luggage. Some things sold at the hostel (e.g. Coke, beer, etc) are overpriced compared to street prices.

Liked: a bit expensive but very nice hostel. guests are relatively not very young (and good), staffs are also nice. Actually I stayed another hostel in Beijing, that 45 Yuan per night ... this one is not bad and value for money, but this Peking International Youth Hostel is much cleaner, safer, better facility. if you have enough budget to stay here, I recommend it.

Liked: very nice hostel, we spend 5 nights there and we would recommended it every time. it is not to big, very quiet and you could feel like at home. we met some nice people there. rooms are clean, not very big, but we had a great bathroom

Liked: This place is just feeling like home. It`s not to big, so very personal. Friendly staff and the lobby smell like flowers all the time. The 4 bed dorm is very small. But stay here and you will have a good time.

Liked: A really nice hostel, the buildings decor is really cosy and authentic and the private room we stayed in had a massive modern bathroom. The staff were really nice and helpful. Highly recommend this hostel.

Liked: For me the nicest place to stay in Beijing. Been there the second time now and will be there on my next visit.What you will NOT find is a quiet, sterile place (in every aspect)... but folks-this is China! But as compensation for that you get a really good location and the staff is really nice!C-U in Beijing!

Liked: fun & cozy place to stay. it's in a small alley; a bit hard to find the first time. meet some of the best fellow travellers there in my short stay. the girls at the font desk are extremely helpful and honest. will bend-over-backwards to help you plan you activities in beijing!! will definitely stay here again when i'm back in beijing!thanks to the fellow backpackers in room 202 for making my stay that much more enjoyable. cheers and happy travels!~t.
