Liked: The staff were really helpful - they helped us book trains, find places on the metro, and gave us info on where to go next in China. The showers were piping hot, and the hostel is in a good location. It took us 2 min to reach the centre shopping street, 5 min (if that) to tinanmen square and ten min to forbidden city. Our amazing trip to the great wall was planned through this hostel too.Johnny was especially helpful.xx

Liked: The whole atmosphere is absolutely fantastic. There's a big courtyard and a loungeroom where you can sit, enjoy, relax and meet other people (we met a friend for the rest of our life!!). The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful with everything. They speak really good English and the breakfast every morning is the best start of the day. When we come back to Beijing, this is absolutely the place we will stay again. I also recommend it on our weblog...

Liked: It's at a good location and the heating in the room is great, making the rooms cozy. The staff are friendly, it's clean and secure. Plus there is lots of information for day trips and help in navigating Beijing.

Liked: The location couldn't be better, 5 minutes from all the main sights in the city centre. The food is excellent and the staff very friendly, and they really help you with everything. I needed to buy western medicine and as soon as Kane, the owner, knew about this, he started calling a list of pharmacies and when he found one that had what I needed, he even came with me to serve as an interpreter!!! I have been travelling around China for a while and I'd never met friendlier staff members in a hostel. The best place to stay when you come to Beijing!

Liked: The food is excellent and the location couldn't be better, just 3 blocks from Tiananmen Square and very near all the food markets and the International Bookstore. You almost don't need to pay for any taxis if you stay here. The staff is more than helpful and friendly. I had booked a dorm for one night and a private double room for another, and they gave me a double room for both nights, keeping the original price. The best place to stay in Beijing, definitely.

Liked: The best hostel to stay in Beijing. The location is perfect, just 3 blocks from The Forbidden City, and the food is excellent (I recommend the American breakfast!). The staff is more than friendly and they help you with everything you need. I needed to buy western medicine and Amanda, the girl from the cafeteria, even came to the Pharmacy next door with me to interpret for me. Amazing!

Liked: The hostel is in a great location and the doom rooms clean and fairly big, only downside is that the bathroom is a bit of a treck outside to get to especially if you need to go in the night. Staff were helpful but not that friendly, I spent most of my time at the social hostel round the corner.

Liked: If your are looking for a bed in a charming universe right in the heart of Central Beijing off Qianmen district and its very authentic Hutong area, Quian Men hostel is the one. I really relaxed and ended up staying twice longer in Beijing thanks to this cosy place. They even daily deep clean dorms that have remote control for air conditioning, luxury times! ;-) .. Staff are very resourceful and would try their best to help naturally .Their soft formal manners disappeared with me as they understood I preffered to have it chilled and friendly. Socialwise, no curfew, you can chat and drink in the pretty red lanterned coutyard until dawn( if you dont fool around ), that's cool with the boss! Great at all levels if only there could be more hostel like that..

Liked: Very nice, sociable atmosphere, with large communal table in courtyard. Beautiful building, especially at night, friendly staff and pets.Room was simple yet comfortable.Although not the cheapest hostel in terms of internet, towel rental and trips, still good value for money
