Liked: The staff were very helpful and had great knowledge of the area. The common room has a bar, tv, DVD player and english films, etc. Good location for visiting the attractions.

Liked: Some of the staff. And the atmosphere can be good -depending on who is staying at the same time.

Disliked: The fact that my room was dirty and remained so despite my pointing this out. In the end I cleaned the toilet and shower room and the floor in the bedroom myself using the cleaner's stuff that was left in the corridor and towels from the shower room. These towels were never replaced. Servicing the room means emptying the waste paper bins and giving you more toilet paper every second day.

Liked: Great Locaction. Package tours (Great Wall, Chinese Acrobats) were both value for money and stress-free ways to see some major sights.

Disliked: Hostel was not able to provide the sleeping arrangements required and the 6 person party was split into three seperate rooms. Showers were not of a good quality.

Disliked: Unfriendly, unhelpful staff. Very small communal area. Food quite pricey yet mediocre.

Liked: The location.

Disliked: It is very dirty, and you hear everything of the other people in there. The staff is very unfriendly.

Liked: Decor was fun, the bar although small was pretty good. Very central.

Disliked: The toilet bins weren't cleaned unless we left the rubbish outside the door and it was generally a bit dirty.

Liked: Very good location, near metro station that makes all city extra availavble. Very good price for the dorm, nice staff.

Disliked: Dorms not very clean, bed lining not changed, tones of dust uder bed, so dont put your backpack there.

Liked: It was nice, although sometimes the kitchen staff were a little lazy or inattentive. My bathroom was pretty dirty when I arrived. However, it is very safe, well located, and the staff will answer all your questions and provide lots of useful information.

Liked: Really great little lounge area to watch DVDs and chat with other travellers. Great location, convenient to walk to many areas and 5 minutes from a subway station.

Disliked: Our room was only cleaned once throughout the entire stay (nearly 2 weeks.)

Liked: I liked the tour to the great wall the hostel provides; it isn't one of the normal tourist ones so when you go its just you, the group, and the tour guide.

Disliked: The towels and bedsheets weren't very clean.

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Bathroom was a bit dirty, moldy. But that's what you expect in a hostel in China. Wasn't too bad

Liked: The location was good as it's quite near to the Subway station.

Disliked: Nothing in particular, but I found the restaurant was quite pricey.

Liked: Very close to a metro stop and within decent travelling distance to the main sights.

Disliked: Tours which were much more expensive than the DIY option were constantly raised by staff. Felt under pressure to take them, although we actually did our own thing to get to the Great Wall and saved a lot of money.

Liked: The rooms were fine, so no problems about that. I don't know how de dorm showers were, so I can't mention anything about it. The staff was really friendly and when my mobile was broke, Jake (ofcourse his English name;)), helpt me order a new one! I'm so glad that he was there!

Disliked: There is no livingroom were you can just sit.

Liked: Friendly and welcoming staff and a no-fuss check-in & out. Great location, just 5 mins from metro and only a few stops from the main sights. Lots of convenience stores & restaurants in walking distance. Chilled out, relaxed and safe atmosphere. Tucked down a quiet hutong so great for a good nights sleep. Good info on local attractions and some great day trip options. Nice hot showers!

Disliked: I would have like there to have been the option of some social events in the evening and or some drink promotions. The bar seemed a bit pricey for drinks.
