Liked: The Great Wall tour was wonderful, I would highly recommend it. We tried to get to the Wall on our own but failed miserably.

Disliked: The food was Western style, it would have been nice if it were more authentic Chinese. When we first got there, they said they overbooked the room that we reserved so we could stay in a much nicer room, but pay more. It didn't take much persuasion that there was no way we were paying more and ended up getting a private room and bathroom for only 7 USD a night!

Liked: The Location is great and it's right near one of the tube stations, the dorm is ok, and fairly clean, the trip to the Great Wall is brilliant, they take you to a part where there are very few tourists, and it's very scenic.

Disliked: They don't really give you any clear directions on how to get to the hostel if coming from Beijing west train station, and e-mails arevery blunt and inpolite. Also, the staff are helpful when they want to be, any problems and they will turn, watch out for the 'Dragon' in the blue puffer jacket. She seriously breathes fire. The Bar and restaurant are fairly expensive too.

Liked: Really homeliness atmosphere, really good location, u can borrow bicycle, u can get really good breakfast. Metro station is 2 minutes form hostel and by food is just 20 minutes to the center of beijing

Liked: Very close to subway, great staff that were very helpful and friendly

Liked: Nice DVD Room. Good Bathrooms. Awesome Great Wall of China Tour. Superb staff.

Disliked: Food in the restaurant was a little expensive, however the size of the plates were quite big. Internet is killed at midnight. Balcony is closed at 22:30. Balcony is not that great.

Liked: very near subway station, bus station ,bakery, restaurant and most of all the price is affordable. staff speak english well, helpfull too. they provided us with guides on how we can reach a certain place on our own, its fun taking the subway.

Disliked: hard time looking for thge place coz it is located at the back of a big building but once we get to know the place, it is easy already.

Liked: Good advice and help for how to get around and where everything is. Jeff is your man.

Disliked: The restaurant can take a long time after you order to serve food and made many mistakes along the way. I'd eat elsewhere

Liked: The tour they ran to the great wall, the bar and the people working there. Especially Jeff! and the towel. small thing but really incredibly useful to not have to pack one!

Liked: Friendly and helpfull staff that speak good english. The hostel arrange a great tour to the great wall! Restaurant with good breakfast (about 20 RMB)

Disliked: The bathroom was flooded everytime we took a shower and it smells. The aircon was out of control. A lot of noises from a construction site near by early in the morning.

Liked: Thats the second time I go to 9 Dragons. I liked it so much that I didnt hesitate a minute to go back there. The staff is very friendly?They can help you for pretty much everything. They organize tours at very good prices?I met many people with whom Im still in touch today. The food at the restaurant is great? Try the pancakes!Louise, the manager of the restaurant is awesome!

Disliked: The dorms lockers are a little too small. My backpack didnt fit in. But I put my valuables in the locker and everything was fine.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Speak good English. Located in an alleyway or hutong - everyone in it are friends so it is very safe. Great wall tour and other services well worth the money. Hostel can book train travel and others hostels for you.Beds comfortable.

Disliked: Only one toilet per floor if not in an ensuite.

Liked: Accommodation was in dark and small street, but I think safety place. Hostel is 5 min. near metro. Beds were very comfortable, we stayed at dorm, but bathroom was big catastrophe - 1 for all floor and also for restaurant. Shower was 50cm near the toilet (it was not problem, but toilet was still very dirty) and the fan didn´t work - so you can smell and see the mould everywhere.I recommend order privat room, not dorm.Restaurant in hostel is very expences, if you compare the prices of restaurant around - and the food in restaurant about is many times better.

Liked: The staff here at 9 Dragons is the most helpfull staff Ive ever come acress on my journey around the world. When I was going to the theater, they followed me so I wouldn't get lost. Even when I ordered busieness cards, they went with me considering the people there don't know how to speak English. I was suppose to stay 1 night, I ended up staying 6 nights.
