Liked: The double rooms are great value and very clean. The staff are very friendly and gave helpful advise. There were also numerous signs and posters giving general advice on what to look out for in the city, etc. We booked our great wall tour with these guys. They took us to a very quiet remote part of the wall, away from all the big tour buses and vendors, we had a great day.

Disliked: We had a room on the ground floor, which got noisy at night due to an echo in the corridors. However, this was not the hostel's fault as they had a number of signs requesting guests to remain quiet after 10.

Liked: I liked how close the hostel is to the subway station, and the nice and quiet alley it's located in. The cleaning staff and some (most, I guess) of the other staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.

Disliked: A few of the staff didn't put that much effort into being friendly or helpful. There are no lockers to put valuables in. There was no hot water between noon and evening.

Liked: I liked the tours that were available. The staff was really fun and helpful and the guides were great for the great wall of China! Stay here if you want to see lots in Beijing.

Disliked: The breakfast portions at the restaurant were a little small.

Liked: friendly staff, they tried their best. the tour to the great wall organized by the hostel was ok. rooms were nicely heated during cold winter period :)

Disliked: no camera or microphones for the computers, no bikes available even though its offered everywhere, some staff members didn't really have a clue what was going on so we got different information from different people - made it hard sometimes.

Liked: It is a very central place to stay. Big and nice place.

Disliked: Aeaveryone was good but the night receptionist was very unpolite and unhelpfull. When I tried to ask her for some advices and help, she was very rude. And in my opinion just one person can make your stay bad.the rest of staff were very nice.

Liked: Its placed near to the metro station, on a typicall chinese hutong. Clean, with friendly staff and secure.

Disliked: The wifi is like the worst ever, and the girls on the front office some time have hard time with english (but its ok). No padlocks on the lockers so bring one yourself

Liked: Brilliant value for money. It cost us $5 USD per night. You get great value for money with Dragons 9 hostel. Good facilities for the price you pay per night. Good common area, all the rooms were cleaned daily. Its located about 5 minute walk from the metro station, best way to travel around Beijing! For the price you won't find a better hostel in Beijing. We also went on the tour to the China Wall, it cost 260RMB. It included a tour guide (Jeff who was brilliant!), breakfast at the hostel, tour bus, and a free water bottle! Highly recommended tour.

Disliked: Wifi was a little dodgy on the 1st day, but this was fixed promptly. Otherwise nothing.

Liked: The heating in the rooms was great, not too hot but definitely cosy. Good hot water and reasonable pressure. Beds were comfortable enough. Pillows and duvets provided. Good fast and reliable internet.

Disliked: Downstairs in the restraurant/DVD room is constantly freezing. A little overpriced for food but reasonable quality. Staff don't speak great english but they're quite helpful.

Disliked: on the whole the rooms are warm but there is only hot water between 7am-10am and 6pm-10pm fine in the summer, but not ideal in winter. Staff at reception not particularly helpful in any respect. Cafe staff lovely though

Liked: Reception staff were friendly, and it's within walking distance of the places you will want to be.

Disliked: The tour feller was a little annoying, so we didn't book with him.

Liked: Location was good, close to Subway station and places to eat near by also. Bar was meant to close at 12 midnight but they remained open for us until very late! Free dumpling party was cool.

Disliked: Menu a little pricey, and limited menu not much Chinese food. Same song was played in the bar 15 times in a row this happened pretty much each day.

Liked: Nice atmosphere. Clean. Fantastic great wall tour

Disliked: Hot water only certain hours of the day 6am til midday and 6pm until 2am I think. Normally wouldnt be a problem except i wanted a shower after getting back from the trip to the great wall at 2pm.

Liked: Really enjoyable. Can't get much better, considering the fact that you are less than 300 meters away from a subway station, and in the heart of Beijing (consider that the city is HUGE)!!!

Disliked: Nothing. Everything was just awesome!
