Liked: Very friendly stuff

Disliked: It was VERY COLD!!!! Outside was more warmer than inside, but outside was about four degrees. We slept with all clothes and it was not possible to take off dresses for take shower. Extremely noise at one night.

Disliked: The hostel is dirty and in need of a serious make over. It's dark, dingy and need of repair. The staff were not well trained.

Liked: Nothing. This hostel is a cold and dirty place where you need to pay for everything (a citymap, a towel, hot water....). The english of the staff was not very good and the location was also not the best you can get in Beijing. This hostel is not in the centre of Beijing you need to take a bus to go to the centre. There are no bars, restaurants in the area. When you go to Qianmen you can stay for 200yuan in a double room, with wifi, heathers, hot water, free maps and friendly staff. We don't understand why hostelbookers work with such a bad and unproffessional hostel.

Liked: Great character and helpful staff - with good size double rooms. A little tricky to find and quite a walk from the nearest subway station (until subway line 4 opens). We recommend making sure you take the hostels own map & directions from this hostelbookers website (google maps sent us astray)

Liked: It was very expensive for what you get, but it was very peacefull and friendly staff who would help you with everything. The place is really old and that is what you get.

Liked: I had a real good time at this hostel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I stayed here during the Olympics and had no problem with transportation. Good place to stay if you are new to China.

Liked: Very good value. Young, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location - in the city core, close to Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven. Certainly a place we would choose to stay again.
