We are René & Carolina, a small family company trying to be a little bit more friendly and economical than the big hostels in town, my girlfriend is a professor of History & Geography of Chile and our passion is organise wine & horseback riding tours or provide all the information you need to do that, if you want to go on your own of course.
Cultural tourists coming to this city, which was made World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003 can feel the peculiar attraction of this charming city port.

Welcome to La Nona, a comfortable mid-range guesthouse, especially thought for international backpackers for more than 6 years.

We live in Valparaiso, a city Anti Mac Donald, in Cerro Alegre for more than 30 years and we open the doors of our own home to you because we are ready and willing to give and share what is ours, we only have three private rooms so the contact with the guests is very close.

All the expeditions are prepared by us and our best friends. Together, we are a group of people dedicated to nature & adventure tourism. We love that we do and are happy to help make your experience unforgettable, shareing with you our lives or give you the privacy that you require.

The best way to experience a foreign place defenetly is with the locals, and that’s what makes us different from other hostels running by foreings. We will share our home with you because we do not see you as a tourist, we see you as a traveller, a friend who wants to see and learn how we live life day to day.

Accommodation Information

The B&B has one fully equipped kitchen with Colombian real coffee available all day, microwave oven and toasters. Full information and maps about things to see and do during your stay with us.

We make your breakfast between 09:30 and 11:00 in the morning and consists of fresh fruit salad, wheat bran, and natural yogurt, white & brown toasted bread, two kinds of marmalades, salamis, cow cheese slices, thickly sliced turkey, real tea, and real coffee, butter and milk.

Nearby & Local attractions: Plaza Justicia, immediately behind Plaza Sotomayor (recently remodeled) and the Primera Zona Naval. Ascensor El Peral. From El Peral´s upper exit Paseo Yugoeslavo leads directly to the Palacio Baburizza, a former mansion housing the city´s Museo de Bellas Artes (Fine Arts Museum; see separate entry below).
Iglesia Anglicana (1858), Iglesia Luterana (1897), Paseo Atkinson & Paseo Dimalow are typical hillside promenades, the latter linking with Ascensor Reina Victoria (1902), an easy route to or from Plaza Anibal Pinto.
Muelle Prat: is the passenger pier.
Reloj Turri: Clock tower, at the narrow end of a flatiron building at Prat and Carreño. Is directly across from Ascensor Concepcion.
