Overview

Playa Ritoque is one of Chile’s best kept secrets. A 17km beach stretching in front of the untouched Dunas de Ritoque between Con-Con and Quintero, only a 45min bus ride from Valparaiso & Viña del Mar, 2 1/2hrs from Santiago.

Surf Camp Ritoque is a small, surfer-run place right on the beach, offering 5 dorm beds and 2 double rooms in separate houses. We have a bar and restaurant with pool table and taca-taca, and fish straight from the ocean.

Surf Camp Ritoque is the ideal place to get away from the gringo trail for a while and explore the beaches and swells of Chile’s V Region, or simply chill.

New to surfing? No worries: learn how to surf where surfing in Chile started. We offer surf and body board lessons for all levels. Equipment included for sure.

Already know how to handle the waves? Depending on the daily conditions and your ability we get you to the most suitable beach so you can enjoy some of our beautiful waves. Playa Ritoque is surrounded by loads of beaches, all with their different breaks and swells: Papagayo, Ventanas, Horcon, Maitencillo, Con-Con or Reñaca, just to name a few.

A word of advice, as we are heading towards the winter season, the night is getting a bit chilly, so bring warm clothes. But that’s nothing a bonfire and a bottle of Pisco can’t fix.

Got your own transport or want to camp? No worries, we have heaps of space for both your car and your tent.

Accommodation Information

We have 5 dorm beds and 2 double rooms! All beds are equipped with fresh linen, pillows and blankets. You can hear the ocean from all the rooms and see it from the double rooms.

We have kitchen facilities or you can enjoy the freshest fish in our restaurant.

As we are located on a beach and believe in socializing with each other, we do not have internet facilities but there are loads of cyber shops in close by Quintero.

Take a day trip to close by Viña del Mar or Valparaiso, instead of the other way around!
