Liked: Staff very helpfull and friendly - more like a house than an hotel - a bit difficult to find (no sign) - good value for money - nice tv room and bedrooms

Liked: The people who run it are very nice and supportive an try and give you the most fr your stay in this town. It would not take much for them to turn thisinto a top notch backpackers hostel, that's for sure. But it just isn't there yet. FYI - use the third story shower, not the second story. And maybe bring your own plug for the sink.

Liked: It may take you a little while to get inside, but once you are in it is a nice place. Clean and great breakfast. Close to the bus station too.

Liked: Everything. The rooms were large and comfortable, there was a good living room with a tv and dvd player, two fully stocked kitchens, good breakfast, and a wonderful staff. The location isn´t that central, but pretty close walking distance to central part of town, and buses to other parts. Gustavo, the owner, even leant us his laptop to use the internet since the normal computer was broken!

Liked: This hostel was wonderful, the staff make you feel as though you are a guest in their home. They are kind, attentive and helpful to a fault and absolutely made my stay in Valparaiso so worthwhile. The house has a wonderful vibe and I encourage everyone to spend time there!

Liked: I had a bus at night and after checking out the owners let me stay in the common areas, watch tv etc till I was ready to leave. The owners were very friendly.

Liked: We´ve had there the best Chilenos experience possible: Gustavo and Pilar have welcomed us like no one else and took great care of us while giving us as much space as we could have wanted. Thanks Guys!!

Liked: The young ladies - and young man - who run the hostel are super friendly. I left some money there and they saved it for me until I could go back. Downside is that it's a bit of a hike from the centre (but a shortish trolley car ride away) and that there are some shifty characters roaming the streets (one sneaky bastard snatched my mobile phone off me...only consolation was it didn't work)
