Beautiful and comfortable hostel.The atmosphere is excellent.The attention is personalized and warm.Then, if you want a good place, paying little money, already you fou it !! Our hostel is in a heritage building built in 1919. It has large bedrooms, great windows and balconies, fully equipped kitchens and comfortable bathrooms. Clean and safe. We also have a big lounge and diner with a balcony, good for reunions and to share meals, or to read and study. There’s also a comfortable and youthful lounge to chat and meet. There is a room with television and home theater available for the use of our guests, where they can enjoy a movie, watch the news or read.

We have a home made library with Latin literature and cultural exchanges for free use. There is also a notice board where we publish academic and cultural information, and it’s for free use!

The bathrooms and kitchens are completely equipped and their use is unlimited in terms of schedule.

We provide different tourist services in an integral way, focused on transmitting and rescuing the cultural identity of Valparaíso and its region, revaluing the people and their customs. These services relate to the spirit and interests of young travelers, such as travelling, reading, partying, watch a movie, share experiences and make new friends.

Hostel NuevaMente strives to satisfy the needs of the adventurous traveler that arrives on this corner of the world in the search of cultural experiences, always putting ahead security, quality and trust. This is the reason why our services are totally according and respectful of the current laws, the environment and our community.

Hostel NuevaMente looks to promote the identity of this port (porteña) and Chile, in respectful terms of the arts, customs and manifestations of the people who live in this area. We provide integral and practical touristic services, so that your needs are satisfied with one and not different operators, this way payments, errands and time are simplified. It’s attended by its owners, young geographers, lovers of the nature and the arts, whose purpose is to transmit the acquired knowledge of years of study about Chile and its people, especially about Valparaíso, World Heritage Site.

Accommodation Information

We have 8 beautiful and spacious bedrooms, doubles, triples, twin, quadruple, quintuple and shared. We do not have bunkbeds, we prefer to deliver a quality service without overcrowding. Most of the bedrooms have a balcony and the decor is very cheerful.

Location Information

Our hostel has an excellent location, we are just a few meters from the bus station, restorants, supermarkets, fairs typical, theater, libraries, beaches, public transport, green areas and nightlife.
The furthest point is 40 minutes walk from the hostel (referring to the entire downtown area).
