'Hostel Millenium house is a family run hostel located in the financial district, close to all Valparaiso's tourist attractions (port of Valparaiso, museums, alegre and concepcion hills, restaurants, night life, historic area, Sotomayor Square, Baburizza Palace)

If you are planing to come to Valpo for new year's eve you can stay at Millenium House, the reason is very simple; our Hostel si the best choice for new year's eve as we are right in front of the port, the principal point of fire works launching in all the bay and also because we are in the middle of the best street party in Valpo (Plaza Sotomayor and paseo yugoslavo).

Situated above the port with amazing views, the hostel is clean and has a friendly atmosphere. The staff are informative. Facilities include: Internet, hot showers, guest kitchen, bed linen, cable TV, DVD, tourist information, maps, Internet access.

The rooms are spacious and clean with storage space The shared rooms are comprised of 4 - 8 beds, double beds and twins are also available. There is a lovely living room where breakfast is served and the internet is available. There are 3 communal bathrooms, each with hot powerful showers for the seven rooms. The kitchen is well equipped .

The hostel is located in the Cerro Alegre, behind the Sotomayor plaza. It is easy to get to by taxi-buses. From the bus terminal, you have to take any bus that goes to (Aduana). We are situated less than 300 meters from the port, with an artisan market, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes only a few blocks away. Valparaíso is surrounded by 45 hills, if you cannot face the walk up to see the spectacular views around the city, you can take one of the old censor’s which have been running for a century.

There are lovely plazas to explore, with statues and fountains of Chilean heros, which you can find out about in the museums. Valparaiso was the inspiration for the Chilean Nobel Prize winner Pablo Neruda, and there is a museum dedicated to his work.

The night life here is a lively, with a mix of discotheques, bars and pubs, playing Latino, pop and rock music (we are only 2 blocks away from the night life). The local delicacy without a doubt is marisco, the fresh sea food.
