Liked: Great hostel, friendly and helpful staff, good location and brilliant atmosphere. And a pet duck. We read the description in lonely planet which is pretty scathing about this place, but actually it is a definite winner. Also, yum breakfast with homemade granola and fresh coffee!

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: mehrstoeckiges, schoenes Haus mit freundlicher und engagierter Besitzerin und hilfsbereitem Personal. Tolles, frisches Fruehstueck, gut ausgestattete Kueche, ruhiger Garten mit Hausente. Zimmer und das Bad sind zwar klein, aber gemuetlich eingerichtet. Book exchange vorhanden, gutes Info-Dossier ueber Valdivia und Umgebung zusammengestellt duch Besitzerin. Im Haus wird auf Recycling geachtet.

Liked: Family style hostel with very friendly staff. The owner is a funny women. Rooma are clean an breakfast is good. It's located mid way between bus terminal and city center.

Disliked: Nothing in particular.

Liked: Location, breakfast, decor.

Disliked: Twin/double rooms on top floor were a bit dark (bigger window needed), they could also benefit from cupboard or rail to hang clothes.

Liked: Awesome atmosphere, great common area, the rooms are warm & the beds are comfy. The staff are really helpful with advice on things to see & do, and access to a well equipped kitchen is always a huge plus if you need to save money (there's a supermarket on the corner, or the local markets on the river 5-10 min. walk away...). The location is just over 5 min walk from the plaza, so great gor restraints, cages, shopping & nightlife, but far enough to be nice & quiet at night.

Liked: Very cozy. Good beds. Lots of space. Good locker boxes for valuables under the beds.

Liked: The longer I stayed the more I felt at home. Muesli in the morning.

Disliked: showers have a warm water cycle.. so after 3 minutes it is gone but it comes back 3 mins later - but: this technically reasoned issue probably encourages saving water ;)

Liked: We stayed at this hostel for 8 nights because we liked it so much, the breakfasts were the best in South America

Disliked: There were a couple of niggles - the rooms were small for the cost & the showers went from hot to cold after 3 minutes so you had to be very quick

Liked: Great location; friendly helpful staff who provided excellent, thorough information about activities, day trips etc.; enjoyed being in a clean hostel; girls/boys bathrooms; beds were really comfortable (!); bar street just around the corner. Good breakfast. Loved the duck.

Disliked: Showers weren't so good - either really hot or really cold.

Disliked: No wifi and the general computer didn't work on the second day either. Staff weren't helpfull and wouldn't call my accommodation at the next destination even though I couldn't book online!

Liked: Looks really nice, you feel really relaxed. We had a double room, really nice, small bathroom but it is ok. The breakfast is really good.

Liked: Great atmosphere, welcoming and helpful sfuff, amazing homemade breakfast, clean bath and kitchen with good facilities. And one very friendly duck! Out of about 10-20 places i've been to in my trip to argentina and chile, this one was the best.

Disliked: Room was a bit small
