Liked: It was a super cool building, super hot showers, super comfortable beds and though you had to pay for your breakfast it´s cheap and there is much more variety which I ended up liking more than other hostels where the room might be a bit more expensive to include breakfast and all you get in bread and jam.

Disliked: Terrible terrible creaky floor of the dorm.

Liked: Place is spotless and run by ppl who really know what travels are looking for having come from either north or south of chile. It´s a place to unwind, meet new ppl, catch up with old friends and generally rejen the batteries.

Disliked: I personally didn´t dislike anything however I would say that those ppl wanting a quiet time need not bother as it is a very sociable setting.

Liked: Pool, pingpong table, reasonably priced beer, separate lockers to charge your devices. Clean bathrooms.

Disliked: Some of the crew was really rude and arrogant on the last night.

Liked: Clean, lots of room, friendly staff and good location.

Liked: The old building is beautiful, the pool and kitchen are awesome - you can cook or there is super cheap food for sale. There are loads of interesting people of all ages here, and it's easy to book onward transport here too. I loved it!

Liked: it was good for a couple of days then the cracks started to appear....

Disliked: apart from tanya and jason the staff are useless and always say "it's not my dept.". is it a party hostel or a family hostel? small screaming kids early in the morning and parties till 4am DONOT mix! why is the pool bar closed during the day when the pool is busy???? why do staff stock fridge with more expensive alcoholic drinks when the cheap ones are popular and sell out fast? how bout stocking the drink fridges when they look like theyre empty? why were drink fridges empty and only restocked at 11am on christmas day when eveyrone wants to party but not with warm drinks!!!

Liked: The pool area was really great and it was nice that they organized a BBQ for Christmas. Also the kitchen was very big, clean and well-equiped.

Disliked: Staff was not always that friendly...

Liked: Large dorms, lots of room there. Its got a great kitchen and lots of facilities for its size. Lots of tv rooms and places to chill out.

Disliked: Top bunks hard to get to. Might be a bit big and hard to meet people there.

Liked: I found the hostel better then i have seen in sth america, the kitchen is amazing so big and so much room to swing that cat ur cooking, the building is 1st class and amazing to look at. Would recommmend highly specially with the summer comming along and the pool out the back. Will drop back past on my way home for sure!!!!!!

Liked: My experience at La Casa Roja was fantastic. The hostel has a wonderful vibe, its clean and friendly and a great place to meet other travellers. I wouldn´t hesitate to recommend La Casa Roja to anyone. I will be in Santiago again in late December and know exactly where i´ll be staying!!

Liked: My first night was´nt good. I was in an 8 bedded dorm that had an interconnecting door with another 8 bedded dorm but only one entrance door so ther were people in and out all night and the noise from the traffic was amazing, this comes from someone who was extremely tired that night and wore earplugs. (rooms 19 and 20) But the second night I asked to be moved and was in room 6 much better. This place is lovely a really gorgeous venue, very good place to meet people and party. The breakfast, on sale until 1pm ! is cheap fresh and delicious.
