Liked: This is a very cosy house. Quiet, warm breakfast at morning and a super nice lovely host. I could spend months here :)

Disliked: The bathrooms are old too, and a bit cold at mornings, the rest is great.

Liked: We chose this place because the reviews and write ups said the host was warm, friendly and very helpful. Can't say we agreed at all. We always felt like we were getting in the way of her personal life, and that we were hassle for her. She also had a son who was cute but very loud, and ran a bit wild. We decided to stay in Santiago for a day extra and we were charged much more than this website said we were supposed to be for that. Finally, we paid for our stay with a $100 US note, which was fine at first, but the owner came back to us later in the day and told us it was a fake. We have no way of knowing it was a fake we paid with or not, but we are fairly sure it wasn't, and we have been stuck with the fake note since. The place itself was fairly nice and we met some other travellers there who were friendly and interesting.

Liked: Great location, nice breaky (the ham was fantastic!!) The room we booked wasn't available when we turned up, so had to change to shared bathroom for the same cost - What the? Apart from this, it seemed pricey but was in a great location with friendly host. Came back a second time purely for the convenience - close to metro, close to shops.

Liked: Some people are born to run a guesthouse and Grace is one of those people. Was my first guesthouse in South America and she made me feel so welcome and at ease that i stayed extra days.

Liked: Good location in Providencia, Graciela who runs the place is very helpful. That said, she has a youngster, three and a half, who can either be cute or noisy and a bit of a nuisance if you´re trying to get anything done or sleep sometimes. Full kitchen, internet, living room, and a great place to meet people. Very accomodating if your plans change, we ended up there for 5 days instead of 2. You´ll be well taken care of if you need help with anything in Santiago.

Liked: Location is excellent, quiet but near all you need. I don't recommend because it is comparatively more expensive than others in Providencia or Centro, but all staff are friendly.

Liked: We immediately felt at home in Santiago Hostel. A young family run the hostel, and are so friendly we have booked in for more nights. The location is great for the Providencia area, metro, plus shops just near by. There is a lovely garden to relax in, and no loud partying guests, making it a great hostel to relax in
