Liked: Good location in centre of town. We stayed in a private twin which was a large room with very comfy beds and very clean bathroom. It was very good value for money.

Disliked: Breakfast was a shambles! Food was never replenished and you had to ask for everything. Dirty plates from previous guests were never cleared so there were no clean tables.

Liked: Very well kept, clean and tidy. Incredibly helpful staff. Good location. Lovely roof terrace.

Disliked: If travelling on your own, not a tremendously friendly atmosphere for meeting other travellers, but a nice place for the older traveller. Single room very small. Lots of noise at night from traffic as located on one of the busiest roads.

Liked: OF THREE HOSELS I USED IN SOUTH AMERICA, this was by far the best. It is clean, bright and looks good as soon as you walk through the door. The rooms match that first impression.

Disliked: can´t think of anything off hand.

Liked: Very nice, clean and friendly hostel. We stayed first in twin room with private bathroom and the room was better than in many hotels I've been in. Nice towels and atmosphere. The kitchen is really clean and good. The dorms are a more simple but also clean and you can get a dorm just for two people. The best part is, that there is a big supermarket just up the street, fruit sellers in front of the building and the metro stations are close.

Disliked: There are some homeless people living in the street - like in all Santiago - so the front door sometimes smells like pee.

Liked: Great location. Great rooftop. Pretty good breakfast. Comfortable beds with fans. Nice kitchen. Friendly staff. All in all, a great hostel.

Disliked: Can't check in until noon, but other than that, not a whole lot to complain about.

Liked: Amazing, spotless rooms with fantastic clean bathrooms.

Disliked: Not really a social place, and also rooms can be noisy due to closeness to main road.

Liked: The building is nice and people are nice too.

Disliked: my room was too small and smells to cigarette. When I suggested to the service to change my room they asked me more money. I think it was not fair enough.

Liked: Absolutely gorgeous old house, so clean, so well set out, welcoming, comfortable and the perfect place to have a bit of a chill out in style. Breakfast is st out for you in the morning, the beds are lovely and comfortable, the rooms spacious, there are loads of rooms to sit in, free book swap.

Disliked: Fruit at breakfast

Liked: I couldnt believe when I saw it. The hostel is with out doubt the best one I ever stayed at. It is like a good hotel. There was only beds for four people, but in any other hostel their would have been 8. Come here and be amazed!!! Location is great!

Liked: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The constant chatter by the many visitors here was "This is the best Hostel I have ever stayed in". I highly recommend Casaltura.

Disliked: I had no dislikes.

Liked: Beautiful classic building, high ceilings, very spacious rooms, clean and modern bathroom, ample breakfast (fruit, cereal, bread, half decent coffee). 10 min walk from Bellas Artes metro station. Lots of supermarkets nearby. Really lovely hostel.

Disliked: Unfortunately the hostel was pretty empty during my stay so the ambience was very quiet and little opportunity to socialise as a solo traveller.

Liked: This was my second time in Casaltura Hostel and I loved it like the first time! The staff keeps very friendly and the location together with the roof terrace are the best. I really recommend it!!!

Liked: I've been travelling over the last 6 months in Latine America and this hostel is maybe the best one that I've been to: big and comfortable beds, great breakfast, extremely friendly staff, incredible roof terrasse, very clean, very well located, great deisgn and decoration

Liked: Lovely hostel in downtown Santiago, very clean and safe and only a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas, Museums, Fish Market, etc... Definitely recommended!!!

Liked: Clean room, comfy bed, friendly staff and great location a stone's throw away from the town centre and a short(ish) walk from the restaurants and bars of Bellavista

Disliked: Its soooooooo quiet... Not a great place for solo travellers to meet other people.

Liked: beautiful place, within walking distance from the downtown center, barrio bellavista and lastarria. very friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked: while i adored the atmosphere of the hostel in general, the single room I stayed in was very, very small. however, all the other rooms (dorms, twins, doubles) were bright and spacious.

Liked: a very beautiful colonial style house with a lot of dark woods - very nice!The location is perfect - very clos to the city center (only minutes to walk to Plaza de Armas, right beside the Mercado Central!).

Disliked: The breakfast is not perfect although okay. I have expected a little more for the price. But still, I would definitely recommend the place due to its charming interior, the great terrazza and the perfect location....!!!

Liked: It's centrally located; safe and secure; in a beautiful older building with lots of character. We had a private room with a king bed (most comfortable pillows I've ever had in a hostel; hugest bath towels I've ever seen in a hostel!).We were only there one night but the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming.

Disliked: There was no real negative to this hostel. In addition to being 'buzzed in' to the building, you also needed to be buzzed out (we often got to the door at the bottom of the stairs only to have to go back up to the top to ask to be buzzed out). It's obviously for safety/security reasons, but it was the only constructive criticism I had about the place - it's wonderful.
