Liked: Hostal Romandia was in an excellent location, easy walking distance to the metro, restaurants and shopping areas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent and the courtyard was a lovely place to relax during the day and evening. The rooms were very clean and we felt well cared for the entire visit. Thank you for an excellent stay in Santiago!

Liked: Spacious, secure, clean and super friendly accommodation with private rooms and shared bathrooms. Located in a quiet street in a residential area with cafes, bars, restaurants close by. A reasonable walk from the metro but well worth it. Great breakfast is included and even some homemade cake if you're lucky! Lovely large back patio is perfect for a glass of wine in the evenings. A home away from home.

Disliked: The hot water for showers was a little inconsistent.

Liked: friendly staff, lovely enclosed back patio perfect for relaxing, very secure facility and neighbourhood with access to restaurants, shops etc

Disliked: occasionally noisy neighbours, especially noticeabke in the back ^cabin^ (private single with bath).

Liked: The owners were very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and there was everything to drink and eat. Very clean, the neightbour hood was very calm and safe. There is no problem if you are traveling by car to leave it inside the hostel or on the street!

Liked: The place its run my mother and daughther, this gives the hostel the feeling of friendliness that is unbeatable. The place is clean, and the breakfasts in the morning included and very complete. I specially enjoyed the freshly brewed coffee which is available in the morning, and the fruits, and bread, and yogurt that remain available through out the day. The hostel is located in providencia, a good ten blocks away of providencia street the main commercial street of this side of Santiago. So be prepared to walk a bit from the station. Two or three blocks away there are several restaurants, of which i specially enjoyed a sea food shop where the prepare fresh oysters with lemon. In summary, a nice, safe, and good place...

Liked: very clean, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, they even made me a packed take-away breakfast when i had to leave at 4am for a flight!
