Liked: Clean kitchen and shared bathrooms.

Disliked: Staff was not around and outsiders could have walked in anytime. Distance to town is quite long.

Liked: Extraordinary hostel with a really nice atmosphere (living in a clay hut). Very good breakfast with homemade, fresh bread, cereals and ham&cheese. Nice and engaged host (who also speaks English and a little bit German).

Disliked: It's quite far outside of the city center (at least a15-20 minutes walk). Compared to other hostels during our journey it was quite expensive. During the night there is a lot of noise due to straying dogs - but this is an overall problem in San Pedro.

Liked: This is indeed a very nice place to stay. The Incahuasi has an authentic style, is constructed of local materials and thus has quite some atmosphere incl. very nice staff and service. But it is still a basic accommodation while the price seems to be for a mid-range hotel. Additionally the location is difficult to find. If you arrive late at night (and you have been to Peru before), it can even get a little scary. If you want to be in the middle of the backpacker's crowds in San Pedro this is not the right place to stay. But if you are looking for a small authentic and family-run place where you even live with the family, the Incahuasi offers great value for you.

Disliked: The value for money (at least if 1Euro is just equal to 635 Chilean Pesos) and the location was quite a little outside the center.

Liked: Generally the place was clean, including the bathrooms which is important. The breakfast was good, but not fantastic as one would believe reading other reviews.

Disliked: My room opened directly onto the kitchen, which was used often as a staff recreation/meal room for the staff of the Tour Company operated by the same people. So the room was noisy until quite Kate at night and it also meant having to walk through the group of people anytime to use the facilities. The tours provided by the owner wre sold as bi-lingual guided tours. I took 3 tours back to back (so couldn't cancel) none of which were in the promised English and none where guided information was provided. When compared to later tours taken from other providers in town, incahuasi tours reflect as poor service , poor value. Although an easy 10 minute walk from town, this walk can be unnerving when taken at night, which you do after having an evening meal in town To top things off I was not credited with my full deposit when leaving. There are much better options providing better value particularly to solo travellers in the town itself

Liked: Staff are friendly and helpful, property is clean. Rooms and faciliies are clean and well cared for. Tours are well run and good value for the money. This is not a place for young people but ideal for older people looking for a safe quiet home.

Liked: Staff were helpful and friendly. The hostel is about 10 minutes walk from the town centre, but the roads are sufficiently well lit at night. to return at night. Tours run from the hostel were good value and highlighted the local area. The kitchen use is an additional cost. Garden is a good place to meet people. Breakfast was good with homebaked bread, and the usual cheese, jams, etc. They picked us up from the bus terminal, and took us there when we left, and will drop you off and pick you up from town if you ask. MarieAntoniaetta runs a good hostel. The hostelbookers website asks for 50% deposit, but we just confirmed our arrival and did not have to pay this in advance.

Liked: Nice place, and nice staff. Basic comfort.Excursions are proposed directly at Incahuasi, no need to choose between the many agencies in san pedro. They're a litlle more expensive, but "private" (in a 4x4, and not with a mini-bus loaded with other tourists).Incahuasi B&B is not located in the center of san pedro, count a 10 min walk.They demand an transfer of 50% of the price, despite the deposit paid at hostelbookers... some diñeros lost with bank charges.

Liked: This place was an absolutely fantastic. I would definately recommend this place to others and stay here again if we ever made it back to San Pedro. The staff were very helpful and so hospitable. They made us feel very welcome and at home. The experience was very positive

Liked: The team at this hostel are incredibly friendly and the just most helpful people you could wish to meet. They always give you a lift into town and even come and pick you up afterwards, Anything we needed help with they were there willingly. They do great trips too, Breakfast is wonderful. I am going back there in a week because I enjoyed my stay there so much.

Liked: Staff very, very friendly and helpful, kitchen well presented and inviting, accommodation very clean, private tours available, bicycles free. Hostel about 15 minutes from town centre and a very hot walk but staff always offer to drive you.

Liked: The hostel can't be faulted at all for cleanliness, the bathrooms and bedrooms were immaculate, and the breakfasts were delicious (so much so we generally didn't need lunch!).

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful with booking tours. They also dropped us to the bus station at night time free of charge. they also provide breakfasts and dinners good value for money. They also spoke english which was etremely helpful!!

Liked: Sandra, the owner, definitely exceeded our expectations, she helped us arrange tours and was very helpful when our bus to Salta was cancelled. She speaks excellent English. The breakfast is very good, the freshly baked bread was lovely!
