Liked: The staff, Alejandro and Carmen, are very nice people and are willing to help you with anything. This hostel is an old house that has been converted into, more or less, a bed and breakfast. As a result, the inside looks generally old, but the facilities are comfortable and clean. The beds are comfy too. Breakfast in the morning is great! We has eggs, toast and jam, coffee and breakfast cookies - for free!

Disliked: The house is old and creaky. The walls and ceilings are pretty thin which makes it easy to hear every conversation or footstep. The two rooms used for dorms are at the front of the house, next to the street. They were pretty noisy, given that we could hear the doorbell and street noise.

Liked: Incredible friendly and helpful owners! Very clean, amazing hot shower 24h a day. And everything else was perfect, too!

Liked: We stayed at a private double, the room was really nice, confortable beds and had even cable TV. The bathrooms (shared) were really clean and the shower excellent! Breakfast was simple, but very tasty.

Liked: Quiet, small hostel. Breakfast is really amazing with warm bread every day.

Liked: Alejandro war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Man konnte Ihn alles Fragen, stand immer mit Rat und Tat bereit, um den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Das Frühstück war gut, die Unterkunft wurde gut gepflegt und war sauber. Das Bad war vorbildlich und man konnte wirklich heiß duschen. Der Parkettboden ist unter Teppich versteckt, knarrt aber trotzdem. Ich finde, das gibt dem Haus Athmosphäre. Das Hostel liegt etwas vom Stadtkern entfernt, ist aber gut zu Fuss erreichbar (ca 5-10min)

Liked: The place is great and the staff is super friendly. It´s the best hostel I has ever stayed in and I have stayed in many different hostels in different countries.

Liked: welcoming relaxed hosts. they seemed to enjoy being hosts.

Disliked: I stayed in the only single room, which was very small. the doubles and triples were 4 times the size of my teeny cubby. this seems to be common with singles, which is too bad.

Liked: Staffs are great, very helpful. The shower is excelent, and the breakfast is very good as well.

Disliked: The dorm is very small for 6 people.

Liked: The guy who runs the Hostel is extremly friendly and helpful. Alejandro knows lots about the immediate area and South Patagonia in general. Breakfast was good, beds very comfy and warm. Also the place has a nice and not very bussy atmosphere. If you look for a place to party out go somewhere else but if you just want a peaceful place after a long day out where you still can meet others and have a good laugh go to La Estancia.

Disliked: Bathrooms are very clean but they have only two. During my stay the place was booked out and i onece had to wait for 5 minutes - nothing of a problem to me but others might be bothered.

Liked: Really nice condition. Comfortable beds. Very clean bathrooms. Nothing is too much trouble for the manager. Very secure.

Disliked: Nothing - It's great. Not the place for people who are looking for noise and partying though.

Liked: The owners are really nice and eager for you to feel comfortable. Alex was super helpful giving us tips to do things I wouldn't have known about otherwise. Breakfast was the best in South America. The kitchen was completely spotless and equipped to a high standard. The beds are good quality with plenty of blankets and a nice duvet. Nice communal areas and great showers.

Disliked: Nothing. The only thing I would suggest is to get some lockers.

Liked: Great place. Good kichen, free wi-fi, VERY VERY GOOD breakfast and the staff is great. I love to saty here. Rooms are very comfortable and worm. Great. :-)

Liked: Alejandro is a hero! We arrived in Punta Arenas on the day the gas protests were due to start and the roads were to be blockaded. Not realising this we did not understand our dilemma until we tried to arrange a bus transfer to the airport for the following day. Nothing was getting through. Alejandro went out of his way to call our airline to see if flights were still going and then drove us to the airport himself that evening before the roadblocks went up. We didn't get to stay in the hostel which was a shame as the beds looked super comfortable (unlike the airport terminal floor) but he did let us use the showers and kitchen before we left. We hope to come back and stay at Le Estancia sometime soon!
