Liked: the rooms

Disliked: i felt not welcome

Liked: friendly staff, helped point me in the right direction to rent gear and get information on trekking the 'W' in Torres del Paine. Check out Erratic Rock for hiking information - they give a fantastic talk daily at 3 pm and will get you fully outfitted for the trek.

Disliked: thin walls, lot of noise from the kitchen/reception area.

Liked: Gre!at wellcoming! room Was nice and breakfast too. They organised the bus that picks us up the next day at the hostel for the park Torres del Paine.

Disliked: We did our laundry There for Big price and they dried It on the furnace!!! Walls are quite thins.

Liked: Breakfast was great! Receptionist was very helpful with booking tours at good prices. Good location.

Disliked: Rooms were a bit odd, and the mattresses were very worn!

Liked: Good breakfast, nice friendly atmosphere. Owner of the hostel is great, very experienced and informative on Torress Del Paine trips and others. Also they rent camping equipment, at a good rate.

Disliked: Very noisy Some of the staff are not interested in helping (we were ignored as they were bust playing Guitar Hero!!) Problems with payment of room, some staff got quite agressive but hostel owner finally stepped in and honored the hostel bookers price. (overall the woman owner of the hostel is excellent, the American girl is friendly and helpful, but the others are rather rude and unhelpful.

Liked: The bedroom was very nice that we stayed in

Disliked: The kitchen was often very dirty, but it was a good size and fully equipped. The upstairs shower wasn't working and the breakfast was set out on the tables the night before.

Liked: Staff are unbelievably friendly. Thank you Paola and Kelly. The breakfast is much more than the standard, including fresh blended juice and yoghurt and cereal, along with the standard coffee jam and bread. The dog, he was adorable. grey poodle.

Disliked: No lockers in rooms. The place was so friendly and homely i had no qualms leaving stuff unattended but peace of mind would have been nice.

Disliked: Needs more bathrooms. They rent camping equipment but it's much larger and heavier than is available elsewhere and no cheaper

Liked: We stayed for a couple of nights at Niko's at different points of our trip. The staff were friendly and helpful and speak good English. They booked a bunch of bus tickets for us and knew the ins and outs of getting around in this part of the world. Stored our luggage for free while we we're out hiking for 8 days.

Disliked: Downstairs showers were warm, but not hot. Room walls are relatively thin, so noise travels between rooms, but it's pretty quiet during sleeping hours.

Liked: It was the first hostel we stayed in and were pleasantly surprised, nice staff and a friendly atmosphere.

Disliked: 18 hours of sunlight per day, how come no curtains in our room? Also I sent an email to the hostel asking about tours before arriving and they never got back to me. Odd because they actually offer their own tours.

Liked: Great staff with an awesome homey feeling hostel! When i first booked with Niko's II, i had no bus, and no plans on how to work out my trip to Torres Del Paine. With the staff's help, I was given the best way to spend my time at Torres Del Paine! They also arranged bus services quickly and made my travels worry free - I had one of the best sleeps during my trip! One more thing, they stowed away my luggage that I didn't need for my trip to TDP, I'm so glad I chose Niko' II!!!

Disliked: Showers were small for me since I'm 6 feet tall but they have hot water with strong water pressure.

Disliked: kitchen old and not well equiped, the hotel was empty (low season..) so we didn't see anyone...

Liked: The Staff was very helpfull. We wanted to go next day to El calafate and they didnt stop until they find us a bus to go. We were also very lucky because we booked a shared room with shared bathroom, and they gave us a shared room (but empty) with a private bathroom.

Disliked: nothing.

Liked: They upgraded me to a single room even though I'd booked and paid for a dorm. Good breakfast. Clean rooms and bathrooms, good showers. Friendly staff.

Disliked: Lack of other backpackers, only old couples and groups around, so definitely not a good place to meet other hikers heading for TdP. Getting the breakfast (no self-service) always took about half an hour. Only one computer and you could only use it until 11pm. Very noisy because of extremely thin walls. In hostelbookers.com the price was only given in USD and euros, and the rate they used to convert it to CLP was very bad, resulting in the price in euros being 25% higher than the one given on the website. No lockers.

Liked: breakfast

Disliked: Somebody mentioned bedbugs in this hostel (you can see the review when you scroll a little bit) but I ignored it. Well, it was my fault. So I stayed in this hostel and I was bitten by bedbugs more than 50 times on my arms. But the manager said they don't have any and showed me a paper which prove it. That's it. I'm 100% sure I was bitten by bedbugs there. But she didn't even tell me sorry or change the sheet of the bed. They just rearrange the sheet on the bed. So watch out to stay here. But if I were you, I would not stay here never.

Liked: Really helpful staff!! They do almost everything to organise activities for you, pick you up at the busstation and bring you back there. Quiet but great place to stay!!
