Liked: Best Hostel I've been in South America,.....great Stuff,.....help you with all the possible activities,.....great atmosphere,....nice rooms with good beds..... I only can recommend this place to everybody!!!

Liked: Peter and Nea were incredibly helpful during our stay. The hostel is so relaxed and down to earth. Booking tours through the hostel was so easy that even though we arrived at 8am in the morning, we were able to go zip lining and hydrospeeding when Peter called in our reservations that morning. Great location near the main restaurants and bars and right across the street from the bus station!

Disliked: There is no breakfast served, but it's easy enough to go out and get something on your own.

Liked: staff were fantastic - all very helpful and the culture of the hostel is al about helping each other have a great time. they do an excellent job of organising activities for you and once per week, they cook up a fantastic chilean bbq which was amazing! all in all, one of the best hostels weǘe stayed in.

Disliked: the shared bathroom has pretty poor ventilation & inconsistent hot water supply, but its not a deal breaker.

Liked: Incredible, amazing staff, super helpful with lots of excellent ideas. Well equipped kitchen, socialable common area, friendly dog. Great location, close to tour operators, supermarkets, bakeries and bars. A wonderful hostel

Disliked: Noise can travel through the house a bit, but it's not a party hostel so not a major problem. You need to get the key if coming in back late, so be organised.

Liked: The friendly staff and the location

Disliked: The bathrooms are really dirty even for a hostel. No other hostel I have ever been was so dirty and I travel a lot.

Liked: It has a nice common area.

Disliked: It doesn't look quite as nice as in the photos and it is very, very noisy if you have a room on the ground floor.

Liked: Ver warm and welcoming atmosphere. lovely comunal space and nice clean rooms. The staff where very accomodating and helped us with bus organisation and ideas for things to do. Great idea of having a shelf for food that was no longer wanted by other travelers.

Disliked: Kitchen was a little squished, just being picky

Liked: Hostel is located directly across the road from the bus station, and down the road from a few great places to eat. Also the staff let us stay in the hostel long after we checked out and even streamed movies for us to watch while we were waiting for our bus later that evening.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Heaps of young people, cosy and friendly atmosphere with the open fireplace in the living room! Great place to stay for tours around Pucon!

Disliked: Kitchen a bit small and messy sometimes.

Liked: Nicest hostel we have stayed in in South America! Staff were unbelieveably friendly and went out of their way to help us. Comfiest beds ever, such a nice The Irish Girls :)

Liked: Our stay was great! We booked 2 nights and end up staying 4. The volcano tour that we booked with the hostel was great and a must do, also during our stay we had Asado wich was yummy.

Disliked: The Hydrospeed tour we booked with the hostel was good fun but we got half of the promise time and we didn´t get pictures/video as we were told, it was too expensive for what we got.

Liked: El Refugio is a cosy, friendly environment. The rooms are spacious and comfy and very good value for money. There is a great shared living area where comfortable couches huddle around the fire. The showers are hot. We were even lucky enough to have a room with our own wood fire. Heidi on staff was extremely helpful, attentive and friendly.

Disliked: I wish they changed the hand towel in the bathroom more frequently.

Liked: Really warm feel indoors. Less than a block from the bus stations and 2 blocks from "Main Street" (Bernardo O'Higgins). Very friendly, English speaking staff who were always around to answer questions and offer advice. Very homey.

Disliked: A little cold at times but they do their best to keep it warm. There's always a fire going.

Liked: There is simply something charming about El Refugio. It might not be the best equipped, but the atmosphere is unbeatable, spent 5 nights there when I was just planning for 3. Great staff, very nice people around, great beds, great place!

Disliked: The kitchen could be bigger!

Liked: The hostel was really great, super comfy dorms with extra big beds, an open fire downstairs and located right beside the bus station and main street. The staff were also great- really helpful and friendly- they sorted out all our activities for us and even baked fresh banana bread! The staff also organised activities in the hostel so we met lots of people and had a really good time. Would definitely recommend it to anyone going to Pucon!

Liked: Nice place. Central location in Pucon, especially if You arrive with Pullman buses. Good kitchen/eating area and nice warm living room.

Disliked: no breakfast! And I booked a 4 bed dorm, but got a 8 bed...

Disliked: My mattress was threadbare to say the least. A bit pokey.

Disliked: very small, after a few days of rain you tend to get cabin fever, the silver lining is that you make friends quickly :)
