Liked: This is a great hostal. It has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff are really helpful and all are made to very welcome. It is definitely one of the friendliest hostals I´ve been to in Chile - a home away from home. Highly recommended!

Liked: its a really friendly and cosy place with great people staying and working there! Central location, right in front of the bus terminal, nice garden and good kitchen (its a bit small, but well, ...)

Liked: The staff running this hostel are so very friendly and helpful particular mention to Annette and Kirsten (spelling?) who are marvellous. It is very close to the bus stations, cosy and warm. I would definately recommend it

Liked: peter is fantastic, anything you need to know about pucon is answered! tours can be booked thru hostel at great rates, good rooms, great atmosphere, brilliant people and excellent staff, highly recommended

Liked: Chilled atmosphere, makes you feel like you´re at home. Cute outdoor section with hammocks perfect to have a cold beer or read a book. Great owners.

Liked: Close to the bus station and had helpful staff - helped me book a tour and made a doctors appointment for me and the cleaner even walked me to my appointment so I wouldn't get lost! Very impressive.

Liked: Really helpful and friendly staff and the location is good, right next to the Jac bus terminal. Was a bit annoying to be kept awake all night before our 5.30am start to climb the volcano by a staff bbq but our other night was fine.

Liked: The kitchen is good, the shower too. There is outside space to get a barbecue.The staff is nice, speaks spanish, english and deustch.Excellent place to meet people and go to have fun in vulcan, termas, park hauerqueue, vulcan caves...The hostel is in front of Pullmann Bus terminal, what is very good, and you can leave your baggage until get out with the bus.

Liked: It was a nice, quiet, small hostel with really cosy beds. Not a place to party, but awesome to relax in front of the fire.

Liked: i love this hostal!! i only booked one night and ended up staying longer cause it felt just like beeing home. its a beautiful wodden house with two fireplaces that heat up the whole place when its rainy and cold outside. if you wanna have a lazy day inside, emma and lotta make it so much fun! we cooked a great dinner with all the peolpe at the hostal and later we watched dvds. at hostal el refugio you dont have to worry about anything. the staff helped me to chose and book all the activities and climbing the volcano was such a unbelievable experience with sierra nevada(awesome guides and great eqipment).i definatly recommend this hostal and would always come back!!!

Liked: This is really a nice place, the best in my whole journey since 4 months!! Especialy perfect to meet other travelers, we cooked together with the staff (Emma and Lota are the best!!) and some other friends travelers I met there, went to the termas together etc. Allthough I had quiet some rain, the 2 fireplaces in the living and great dvds made it really comfortable these days. It made me stay a week in stead of just 2 days and made me feel very at home.
