About Un Destino No Turistico Eco Camping & Hostel

In this Destino No Turístico, you can take a solar shower, learn how to save energy and experience life in the countryside, participate in a workshop about sustainable life, permaculture, bio-building, composting toilets … or participate in a guided visit to know more about this project… or who knows, maybe you will build a geodesic dome....everything is possible, but the best thing of all: go for a walk and chat with the local villagers.…anyway, you will enjoy a slow travel in Patagonia.

We exist because there are travellers (“no tourists”) who take the time to know the region and its people, those travellers who are concerned about the environment and their carbon footprint and who are interested in organic agriculture, renewable energies, solar cooking, bio-building, recycling, permaculture…

On foot or horse-riding, alone or with a local guide: you can hike to the old Escondida mine, or to the fossil sites...If you are lucky, you will have a “mate” tea with a farmer, or visit the neighbour garden… Any trek is a good way for connecting villagers and their traditions.

If you are a slow traveller, you got to the right place: where savour a sun-baked bread, get wool from a farm, experience hay-box cooking, explore the off the beaten track surroundings, discover the interesting local history… and finally understand the Patagonian saying: “who hurries, wastes time”…

ECO&Permaculture:
In this little spot of Chilean Patagonia we try to live in a sustainable and responsible way, trying to cause lowest environmental impact and encouraging visitors too. We apply knowledge based on Permaculture and Ecology.
