Liked: The vegan/vegetarian restaurant next door - although not open on Sundays :( Was clean, quiet, warm, had wifi

Disliked: nothing, apart from the fact they didn't have my hostelbookers booking :(

Liked: Really liked the hostel, nice and clean - I've stayed in a lot of hostels and would rate this pretty high

Disliked: Liked the hostel, wasnt so much to do in Winnipeg - but what did we expect going in November tbh

Liked: I like the pub which was attached to the hostel, it was very lively the night I stayed and there were a number of folk bands playing which I enjoyed. I was also very please with the quality of food being served. The room was very large which is helpful when travelling with a lot of bags!

Disliked: It wasn't very clean and bath/shower taps where coming away from the wall.

Liked: Sound from the bar doesn't travel upstairs if you need to get good night sleep. Bar seemed pretty good when we were there. Rooms clean and big.

Disliked: No free breakfast. No activities or events going on. Deadly quiet but this is late Oct.

Liked: This is an awesome hostel. Kitchen is clean and huge. Close to all attractions and bus stop to the airport. Rooms are huge and clean. Staff friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff.

Disliked: Pretty boring aesthetically, could do with some brighter coloured paint as the hallways feel a bit prison like! But very clean and tidy, so just a small quibble.

Liked: Near downtown. Most of the places are walking distance.

Disliked: The area is not good, always see some people gathering and standing around on the street near the hostel... Not recommend to go out after dark...

Liked: Beds were comfortable, rooms were warm. Nice big lockers. The location was fine, but Winnipeg downtown is pretty small anyway. Very close to Portage Place. Restaurant and pub very convenient. Kitchen was nice and big. Surprisingly the noise / music from the pub did not travel up to our room which was nice. It was fairly quiet, except for a tiny bit of street noise (cars and drunken girls on the street yelling out "woo"). Free wifi worked well.

Disliked: The bathrooms didn't look like they'd been cleaned. The floor in the room had so much dirt, felt like it hadn't been swept in a while (found receipts on the floor etc from the previous people who were there). I expected more from the HI hostel (based on other HI hostels).

Liked: Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are large and airconditioned. The hostel is located in a central location, close to everything in the downtown core. And it has an elevator!

Disliked: The place is not ultra-modern, but it is spacious, bright and airconditioned.

Liked: Nice staff but there were some strange people staying (or not?) at the hostel!Area to use the WiFi is really unconfortable and ktichen is quiet dirty...Good place for a short stay to go up to Chruchill!

Liked: Clean rooms, was in a dorm and we had a double bed each :-D very comfy beds! clean ensuite shower rooms in dorms lovely hot showers! clean kitchen good system, big lounge area , flat screen n sofa's, and nice freindly staff!

Liked: PLEASE NOTE - the price that hoselbookers gives you assumes that you are a HI member. We are not, so ended up having to pay around $10 extra per night. WiFi access is only available in the lobby not in the rooms. Pub in hostel has cheapest beer we found.

Liked: Excellent hostel and extremely friendly staff. The rooms are very clean and as it's a fairly new hostel the mattresses in the rooms are extremely comfortable and cosy. The rooms have ensuite bathrooms and are spacious with in-room lockers for your backpack. There's free WiFi in the lobby area and an very sociable bar with special free events for those staying at the hostel. I would stay here again.

Liked: There was still a bit of building going on. For one the hostel's cafe was closed and our bathroom door didn't work. However, the staff was super friendly, the kitchen is huge and very well equipped, the hostel was clean and the rooms very spacious. So there was little to complain about that won't be fixed soon. It may as well have been fixed in the meantime. :)I have to answer Q6 with no, because I didn't notice any promotion for HostelBookers. But it may just have escaped my attention, I tend to put a blind eye towards ads.
