The breakfast was very nice and the location was in the suburbs of Vancouver but on a major bus line, which made getting into town pretty easy.

great breakfast as we used breakfast option, friendly helpful owners, very accommodating,
about 30mins out of downtown but not bad as on bus route.

The couple who run this hostel go out of their way to make you feel at home. Im a seasoned traveller and haven't quite experienced anything quite like it before. Like other reviews, its all about the breakfast.. Use of internet is invaluable and a high speed connection here. The only downside is that the bus takes 35minutes off peak to get downtown, but on the whole you see an interesting bunch of locals on their, so I wouldn't let that put you off..

owners are very welcoming and helpful; Breakfast is exceptionally great and the place is fairly cost effective. Bus #135 takes you to Burrard street in downtown in 20 minutes.

quiet relaxed atmosphere. excellent breakfst cooked by the hosts who were friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome in thier home. free internet was a plus

very friendly, most accommodating, kind owners; accessible to bus transportation; good food; excellent coffee; very peaceful neighborhood; clean, big bedrooms and Comfort room.
My rating is actually EXCELLENT for LIttle Retreat B & B !

The best canadian breakfast ever!!!! Location is quite far from city centre; very nice and friendly owners; again: very good breakfast!!!! definitely worth the money; clean and safe; avoid hastings & main street in the night if you arrive by greyhound bus - better take a taxi although it might be expensive

Hosts were wonderful and very engaging. Instead of squeezing in some more touristy pursuits on my last morning, I spent it chatting with Laurette and Gary and some of the other guests and really enjoyed it. I would definitely go back there even though it is a bit further out! One bus takes you to downtown, very simple.

The staff were very friendly and made a great/healthy breakfast. I also liked having a nice sized room with a double bed since I always travel with girlfriend. It is often difficult to find a place able to accomodate a couple at a reasonable price, this place definately met the bill. One mild warning, the hostel is located about 30 minutes from downtown by bus, so if you are looking for a place that is in walking distance to all the sites you will be unsatisfied. However, it is on a main bus line that runs almost all night (4:00 AM and I think resumes service at 6:00 AM), which we found very convienent for our nightlife activities.
