It's location is really lovely mind from the beach and near a bus stop if you wanted to go down town Jerico is by far the nicest area in Vancouver

A quieter hostel not in the middle of the action, but close enough to Kitsilano and even downtown to be fun, not that a nearby bar is needed, the beach is great! Kayaking right outside.
