It is so close to the buses and skytrain, which makes everything accesible. The people who worked there were very friendly and helpful too.

the hostel was great, inexpensive, super central location, friendly helpful staff, clean, fun nice cozy atmosphere.
As a single female traveler I felt secure and got in touch with other cool people.
the best: everything is in walking distance- from ocean to Museums to night life. Main street is definitely the insider tip with all the alternative designer fashion stores and artists and antique stores, hostel and Main street are highly recommendable

The location is great if you're arriving by bus or train. It's only about a 15 minute walk to the main shopping/downtown area. the area isn't the nicest, but i felt comfortable (I'm 23 & female & travelling alone). I wouldn't suggest walking home alone late at night after partying/clubbing etc (but that sort of applies anywhere!). The bus stop for downtown and stanley park is right across the street.
The hostel itself is really cozy and sweet. the staff is SUPER helpful and the water is HOT! Loads of maps, and info aswell.

Very helpful service. Great friendly and supportive staff especially Pierre the manager. Comfortable almost family atmosphere. Very clean and good security. The single room I stayed at was nice as well as comfortable with a TV, nice updated features like new hardwood floor and stylish size sink. The only negative is that the busy Main St. the room looks out on has a lot of constant traffic
noise through out the night. (Good to bring earplugs to a hostel)
Very economical accomodation close to Bus Depot and Skytrain and Chinatown. The Hostel is also overtop an interesting Antique
and Curiosity Shop for any one who likes poking into unusual stores. A fun and social place where you meet friendly travellers.
