Customer reviewThe room was very small and had a very low ceiling, the hallway was even worse (my brother could not stand up straight and he is not that tall). There was no window, and there were hairs on the floor. The location is okay (in the middle of Chinatown), though quite a walk from the city center. I'd rather have a room with a normal ceiling than one with a fridge (there is usually one in the common kitchen anyway). If you're taller than 1.70 m, this is not the place for you. |

Customer reviewGood location, and very helpful and nice staff. Room was quite clean and tidy but the bathroom was not good. bad smell in it. Kitchen was also a bit dirty. But overall the hostel is nice. |

Customer reviewWhat a horrible experience! I arrived as scheduled and walked up to the house. An older Chinese woman was sitting on a chair on the porch and I asked her if this was the hostel. She scowled at me and said “no, no hostel what you want”. Umm, uh-oh. I turned around to leave just as a young Chinese guy was walking up. He said yes this WAS the hostel and let me in past the angry-looking woman. The house smelled bad and was dark and dingy. The guy acted like he was not expecting me and asked for my “paper”. I started to dig it out, but was getting a really bad vibe, so instead I asked to see the room. It was awful, dark, dingy, very depressing and smelled like rotten cabbage or something. Suddenly the young man said “your name is Cathy right, you are booked for 2 nites?” This just minutes after acting like he had no idea who I was or that I had a reservation. I simply left. What an awful hostel experience. |
