Liked: The hotel have a nice location,very convience for me to visite some friends,your employee miss Kelly quite nice very industrious and friendly,the visiter of your customer all praise her,Existing my friends invited me to stay his house from 22th-29th 0f Oct ,but I prefer to stay your hotel again,so I will continue to stay ,I would like to tell some of my friends if next time come to visite Toronto have to stay your home hotel Best Regards Jung Chuang

Liked: You get what you pay for, nothing fancy butour room was clean with a fridge, microwave, TV and good Wifi connection.The shower on our floor with a good waterpressure n hot water!!!The location is great, close to everything!

Disliked: The kitchen...not to well equipped. Not easy to meet other travellers.

Liked: The location is good and you'll be lucky if the grandfather smiles to you ;)

Disliked: When we arrived the chinese receptionist gave us a 4 bed room under the roof really dirty. In the middle of the night I started to feel itchy. I woke up and in my bed there were BUGS!!!!!! we had to wake up the receptionsit but no other room was free, so she asked us to use the other bed in the same room and sleep with the light turned on. We tried but bugs were in every bed!!! She gave us a better room only the day after. Fortunately we were refunded for the orrible night passed there. In the kitchen there's often a terrible smell which spreads all over the hostel, the chinese family who lives there starts to cook boiled chicken at 7am and I don't think if the visitors are allowed to use it ;s

Liked: Placed right in the centre of China Town, with lots of really good places to eat and see. Short (about 20 minutes) walk from the lake side and bus terminal.

Disliked: Not much.

Liked: That we found another hostel to stay after the first night.

Disliked: First of all our room was in a basement approximately 500 meters away from the hostel in the middle of Chinatown in some random house with no facilities or services. The windows couldn't be opened because they were plumed. The bathroom was full of mold and we didn't get what we booked (one room instead of 2 and just 3 beds for 5 people). The stuff was one woman called Kelly who is probably the daughter of the owners. It was impossible to talk to her, because she spoke almost no English, the parents by the way didn't speak any English at all. Luckily there was another Guest from China who helped us as a Translator. We agreed with Kelly, that we gonna stay for a lower price than booked for one night at this hole and that she gonna offer us better rooms for the next four nights. But the next day she told us that she thought we would leave the hostel completely and go somewhere else. We where thinking about that and told her that we will do this, if she won't offer us the rooms we booked in first place. At the end we left the hostel after the first night (instead of staying there 5) and went to a hostel which was quite expensive, but we had no other choice, because it was weekend and most hostels were booked out. To continue this surreal episode, Kelly tried to fool the next guests the same we she did with us. After they saw the place, they also left immediately. To anyone who reads this: If you happen to stay in Toronto and look for a cheap hostel - never EVER even think of taking this one! It was the most horrible experience we had while travelling, and we experienced a lot so far. Please try to find something else or consider paying more and going in a hotel. But again, do not take this hostel. Be warned!

Liked: The location, It's close to downtown

Disliked: We got there and they were full, so we were transferred to another location. we didn't have a choice as we needed a place to stay. we weren't offered a refund when we asked so that we could find other accommodation. The staff didn't try to fix the problem and we felt they intentionally overbooked so they could fill up their other locations.

Liked: location in the heart of Chinatown and affordability is what this place has to offer.

Disliked: I was relieved to see that the sticky trap had nothing on it despite the dust bunnies showing the amount of time that it had obviously been on the floor. No bugs :)

Liked: Great location, near all you want to see in Toronto, walking distance on top of that! And it's the cheapest you can get in downtown Toronto...

Disliked: The price was cheap, but the hostel wasn't worth much either. You hardly get what you pay for... but still, you get a comfortable bed and a shower... it definitely beats sleeping in you car!

Disliked: Dirty, they do not give back deposit- meaning you pay extra 10% to the listed price. You got the room you haven't booked. The staff is extremely unhelphul. you pretty much have to figth with them for everything - andd they speak broken english only. They ask to take shoes off at the entrence- but the rest of the hostel is dirty -DISGUSSTING! shut their website, NEVER go there
