Liked: I like the location of this property.

Disliked: I do not like this property. The house is shabby and absolutely needs repired.

Liked: wifi and tv , hot water and toilet rolls

Disliked: Ants in room, no natural light, no fresh air, window open to kitchen, no cups or utensils, carpets not clean, room contained a hard bed and a tv on an old table - thats all.

Liked: Good points: - 10 minute walk from downtown - hot water all day long - fairly quiet location - fridge and microwave provided in private rooms - good wi-fi connection - telephone provided in the room I never used their kitchen, so can't comment on that. I'd say if you need to save money and are looking for a place to stay for a night or two, go for it. Any longer than that, you may want to book somewhere else. All in all not a pleasant experience.

Disliked: Bad points: - dirt and smell in the bathroom - bed bugs (I suffered a lot of bites and need to disinfect all my belongings when I arriva home!) - staff with limited Engish and not very pleasant - upon arrival I was informed I needed to pay tax on top of what had been agreed at reservation. - bed consists of a firm mattress placed on top of two wooden pallets. - I was given two pillows and a sheet, no duvet. I was very cold at night (end of March) as the heating would switch on for a couple of minutes only a few times a day/night

Liked: It is really close to places that I need to go. There is the art museum nearby and a lot of places for food. The place looks fairly clean. If you get used to it, the staff is actually a really nice lady.

Disliked: The wall is too thin. I have no problem falling asleep but you can hear everything said outside your door and hear noises above or/and below your room. I heard arguments between the staff and the customers all the time. For those who want a quiet place, no matter how much you pay for a room in this residence. I doubt you want find any quiet room. Also, some of their rooms are horrible. the table in the room is not even flat. And I don't think that's modern art.

Liked: One of the beds was big and the wifi worked well.

Disliked: Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. There was no toilet paper or towels. Our room was located in different address than it's said on the website when we booked the room. There was no reception, you have to take off your shoes when you come in and the kitchen was ill-equipped. There was no leaflets or any kind of information available. There was lot of hair on our beds and the toilet seat was far too close to a wall.

Liked: Nothing. DO NOT STAY HERE. No, seriously. Don't. There are far better even if you have to pay more. If I had to say something positive, it had a phone and it had internet, both of which we used to immediately book another hostel.

Disliked: It was the worst place we have stayed in our entire two months travelling. Owners did not speak English. Tax not included in price. Shoes have to be removed before entering. Dirty mattresses were strewn on the porch. Room consisted of a block of wood held up by other blocks of wood for a bed (no joke, it was solid), holes in wall revealed exposed wires. Bathroom light didn't work, but the fan did, but made a horrible screeching noise when turned on. Bathroom contained lots of mould. Curtains barely were held together and didn't block any light. I wouldn't want my pets to stay here, let alone humans. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Liked: we reserved 2 ensuite rooms, but when we arrived, there are no rooms to us. We were placed in another hostel, Toronto Travellers Home, which is worse. Unfriendly staff, no help for travellers, the room is very dirty and very small. We think in the prison would be better, because at least we receive food!

Disliked: the staff, the cleaness, the place, the smell, etc.

Liked: The price and location are amazing, unheard of for Toronto in high season

Disliked: the mattress was the hardest I ever slept in. Not very clean and were asked to remove the shoes inside the hotel

Liked: It had to happen, bed bugs! our cheap night in China Town resulted in us finding Bed Bugs which to say the least is not pleasant. luckily we hadn’t got in the bed so did a midnight flit somewhere else. which turned out to be horrid (but we only saw it at its worst when we woke up the next morning). However, you can’t judge a city by one nights accommodation, and our first impressions after our first evening walking around is a vibrant and happening city.

Disliked: Bed Bugs

Disliked: 1. lack of social environment; 2. staff was friendly but could not explain all utilities (like kitchen, daily party, etc). Manager should leave a better written explanation inside the room. 3. lack of cleanliness.

I stayed in the top floor room it was almost like having my own appartment (without the kitchen, but with fridge and microwave facilities). bathroom and hot water too! Laundry also available downstairs...and if you dont have a towel, its also available! Cosy, at home feeling with the basics for a fair price!

Disliked: No closet or draws if you want / have to stay for longer periods of time. The bedroom has no personal touch.
