Liked: (1)Bad sound insulation~ waken up several times at night due to the noise upstaire; (2) Some door locks of washrooms don't work; (3) Wifi-service is extremely poor, disconnected several times per night; (4)Dryers don't work very well, clothes are not dry after 2 rounds

Liked: Excellent location in the downtown toronto...Most of tourist destinations in downtown are in walking reach....Friendly staff, friendly people living here...Good activities held at night....I enjoyed my stay here and made some new friends!

Liked: The Candiana Backpackers inn had a fantastic atmosphere, from the moment i walked in to teh day i left the place was always buzzing. Perfect for people travelling alone wishing to meet people. Rooms are basic, not recommended if looking for some privacy when sleeping. Bathrooms were good. they were normal bathrooms - one shower, one toilet in each bathroom, sealed with a door. I loved this as it enabled me to shower in private n not worry about the curtain oppening as u do in some other hostels.

Liked: Great staff, nice rooms, comfy beds, private bathrooms, nightly events and an excellent atmosphere. Also a perfect central location, without the street noise.

Liked: The hostel is a very big place, consisting of four adjacent houses (~200 people). Considering the amount of guests, the owners are doing a very good job. I prefer a bit smaller hostels though. The reception works smoothly and the stuff is as helpful as they can. Wi-fi is extremely crappy (in house #48 I couldn't connect at all) and even under full signal in the lobby the Internet is veeery slow. Dorms are a bit illogically designed as one bunk covers the only window in the room. Everything's nicely clean. The owners offer a huge variety of activities in case one doesn't know what to do on their own. Check-out time is already at 10:30. I wasn't aware of any lockers.
