Liked: Great party atmosphere, cheap drinks and good music in the bar.

Disliked: The sheets were still on my bed from the previous persons stay; i didn't have a bed for about 20 minutes. The room and bathroom (not en-suite) were SO dirty, a quick vacuum round would do the trick. The music was very loud and although we were in the bar having fun earlier, our beds were shaking from the noise way into the early hours.

Liked: Location. Staff. Price. Bar.

Disliked: It was very dirty. Both the rooms and the bathrooms. One shower for a floor of 40 people. Sinks didn't work. No padlock lockers and paid lockers were all broke. Uncomfy beds and generally pretty rough.

Liked: I enjoyed the fact that it was close to the downtown area, the free upgrade to a 4 bedroom, and the staff was helpful.

Disliked: The people there were weird and seemed like loners

Liked: Only the Location.

Disliked: Almost Everything! The Hostel is very dirty and a lot of things doesn't work or are damaged. The room where I stayed in was small, hot and there was a bad smell. There was only one little window in the room. The showers are terrible! There were some strange people when I stayed in the hostel. Some of them looked like homeless people. I was so happy when I checked out, after 3 nights! Now I'm in a better hostel that is near Clarence park too. I will never stay in this hostel again.

Liked: The building has character and the people we met in our room were loads of fun. it is a huge hostel so we were always running into new ppl.

Disliked: the pillows were covered in a plastic covering thing.. which was kind of gross and loud in the night. The bed I had... and many others in the room were quite "well used" too. And the pancakes were gross. just taste like dough... I would recommend they just scrap the breakfast... or make it worth while by having more dishes and mugs that ppl actually can eat and have a coffee and maybe making a better presentation and having another topping? (It may be asking too much, but the breakfast was a joke.)

Liked: The location is perfect. It's in the heart of the city.

Disliked: The property could use a very good cleaning. A good scrubing and it would be perfect.

Liked: Central, fairly priced, pretty colours, good bar and common room.

Disliked: Very very messy people in room and inconsiderate. While most staff were helpful, one particular person was lazy, rude and couldn't be bothered helping out at all.

Liked: Nothing.

Disliked: Room smelled like living together with bears or entire canadian wildlife. Bed sheets were dirty and sleeping without ac and fan wasn`t fun while the summer heat is melting you. Instead of offering breakfast we got some popsies, skimmy milk and thinner coffee.

Liked: Nothing in particular

Disliked: The rooms actually slept 12 and not 6 as advertised on the property and upon arrival the prices were 2 dollars higher than through hostelbookers... Overall it was a grungy and less pleasant than most hotels I've stayed in in the past.

Liked: The free pancakes and the bar

Disliked: Rooms have no air conditioning whatsoever, you have to sleep with the door open. In mid July with 3 other guys in the room it was a sauna. The beds were ridiculously squeaky, worst in any hostel I've ever stayed in, really really loud. The kitchen was filthy. The wireless internet wouldn't work with some peoples laptops including mine. For the "biggest" hostel boasting the most beds in Toronto it had one working computer to access the internet with, just one, trying to get on it was difficult and when you did it was slow and would freeze. They also had just one saucepan in the kitchen, yep, one. But the worst issue was the air conditioning, this hostel was so lame I checked out one night early. Avoid

Liked: Most of the staff was very friendly and nice. The building though seemed to be in a bad condition, and almost none of the showers were working, and the toilets were overflowing on a daily basis. The lockersystem where you had to pay 1$ every 24 hours wasn't practical at all.The breakfast is mostly good for meeting people, not for having a proper and nourishing start for the day.

Liked: I think its ideally placed, just outside the door is the tram system, which is a really good price. The staff are tremendously helpful and friendly, and theres lockers for long term storage, or a storage room you can use foor free. The bathrooms could do with a renovation tho, and there should be more bathrooms
