Liked: i liked the chilled out atmosphere at this hostel. I liked that there was no curfew, and it was more like an apartment to stay in, than a hostel

Disliked: The location, its in the bottom of the city, but is on the 800 bus route, which is handy to get to the centre of town. It is opposite a bar which is very noisy at night. I would not reccommend that you walk back to the hostel alone.

Liked: La belle planete was bright, clean and cheery. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. All the facilities were clean and well maintained and it was so close to old Quebec city that it`s hard to believe we paid so little. We met some awesome people and had an incredible time there. We would recommend la belle planete to anyone!!

Disliked: We had no complaints.

Liked: Steeve was very helpful and went out of his way to assist. We were upgraded to a private room free of charge as they were quiet which was a lovely surprise. There was some confusion with the dates the hostel was meant to close and instead of kicking us out (like many places would), they left the whole hostel open for another night even though we were the only guests. The hostel had a real homely feel about it. Free fast computers and Internet and free wifi. Great location.

Disliked: The bed was very hard. A little bit of noise coming from the bar across the road but we were still able to sleep easily.

Liked: It is well located

Disliked: The staff, the noisy room, the unfriendly and not proffesional staff the check-in check-out time. Running a guesthouse means to think about others before thinking about themself. The 60% is much enough but it was the only place available for me.

Liked: It's very convenient to go around the old quebec.Walking distance to everywhere.

Liked: The washroom was really clean all the time. The worker there was friendly. The location was excellent, close to everything. One fast and new computer out of three computers.

Disliked: The rest of the hostel need a little renov. The owner wasn't helpful or friendly at all. I stayed in a bad room and I asked him to change me to another room and he told me no, there isn't anymore room, either that or you stay in the sofa. No desire or want to help me out at all. Location is good but right next to the homeless and a their balcony is really close to the hostel balcony, they can climb over if they want to. Not to mention there also bed bugs! I got bitten on my thigh and ankle!

Liked: The hostel staff are quite nice. The hostel is in a great location of the city. It was very nice to have access to a kitchen.

Disliked: I thought the rooms were very small. In some of the beds you cannot even sit up fully without hitting your head on the bed above you. I thought the lockers would have been bigger, but they at least fit a computer and purse in them.

Liked: Los colchones son horribles, están hechos de un plastico rígido que produce un ruido que no te deja dormir cuando te mueves. Sólo hay dos duchas por planta.

Liked: This hostel was really, really good. One of the best hostels I've stayed at, and definitely the best that I've stayed at in Canada. It's a five minute walk from the train and bus stations, a three minute walk to a grocery store and restaurants, a ten minute walk to Old Quebec and the port area, and maybe a fifteen minute walk to the citadel. Pierre is very friendly and pointed out the main attractions as well as good places to go late at night, and he's super laid back and easy to talk to. Meeting people is easy because of the common areas and the two terraces are a nice place to eat, especially in the warm summer weather. Would definitely stay here again.

Liked: This hostel is decent but the checkin/checkout times are extremely unflexible. Prepared to be yelled at for an hour by the owner if arriving after checkout time (this didn't happen to me but I overheard other travelers being yelled at.)

Liked: Pretty good location, good for meeting people and has a really cute dog! It was harder to find than I'd expected though, and the bathroom was tiny.

Liked: I liked the fact that the person running the hostel lived there. He was very helpful and friendly. The hostel is easy walking distance to the old part of Quebec. However, the immediate surroundings are a little unpredictable with bars around as well as a sex salon. As a group of women, we did not go out at night.We had a great time talking to the other hostelers. Access to computer, internet and wi-fi were a big plus.
