Mirian LippolisWe (me and my husband) booked a single double room, and when we arrived at the hostel, we were in an confourtable apartment, with private and complete bathroom, kitchen, laundry, room with tv, free wi fi, phone, sofa, table and a backyard, simple but comfortable. |

Kaylah ZanderThe staff were really great. If you needed to phone or email or drive somewhere they were more than happy to help you. The price was good for what they offered and the breakfast was simple, but really helpful. The location is amazing. It's in one of the best parts of montreal, surrounded by the most important streets. Parking is awful in the neighborhood, but if you don't have a car then it's fine. I recomend that if you stay on the main, top floor that you get a face mask for a night to cover your eyes, because they have these amazing skylights, which are great, except for when you're trying to sleep in. All in all, though, I really enjoyed my stay at Chez Jean. |

Customer reviewGreat location. A VW for a private room is slightly streching things. |

Joseph KellnerEverything was great, the part we slept in was even relatively quiet in the morning. the owners were very friendly, the location is right int he center of the french part of town, very, very good experience. and for 20 dollars a night. |

Customer reviewBreakfast, however poor of a selection, is better than putting 8 to 12 dollars into a restaurant. Our room was well heated, included bedding and towels, and was replete with drawers and shelves so our stuff was not cluttering up the floor. The LOCATION is the big selling point for me; near the corner of Rachel and Saint Denis it is a quick walk to the Metro with any kind of store imaginable in between. |
