Liked: Yves is really nice person, he didn't save an effor to make my stay as pleasant as possble. The aparment is located in a quiet neighbourhood, with a metro station only 5 minutes away. The place seems to attract interesting people, some of whom i have become good friends with.

Disliked: Nothing worth mentioning really, the place is a real bang for the buck

Liked: Yves, the owner is a little eccentric, but very friendly and helpful when you ask for info about the city. Yes, there are a lot of guidlines in the building (like shoes off and use the compost/recycling, etc), but considering the price, it's a good place to have a base while visiting. Clean and quiet. Not for people wanting to party in their rooms.

Liked: A few things I must warn about: 1) This property is not at walking distance from downtown Motnreal... you will need a metro/bus pass; 2) If you want to drink, buy your own beer; 3) Yves is a strange fellow, but means well... try to get to know him and you'll be good. Otherwise, this is a pretty good hostel: clean, comfortable beds, no AC is a problem but if you keep the windows open, you're good.

Liked: It is a different kind of hostel, there are more rules than a normal one, but for me it was better, the location is good, because is not so far from the old montreal, but if you are thinking to go out during the night and get back when theres no metro, well ull be spending more money for a taxi drive than a night here, so rather stay close to quartier latin or wherever you want to pary

Liked: Of everywhere we stayed through Canada, this was the only place I dreaded coming home to. "Wow! Fun!" No, joyless house with creepy owner, strict pointless rules from everything to how you wear your socks, place your shoes, wash your face, and speak in your room. The room we had featured a picturesque window view of the backyard- piles of trash and odd lumber stacking up for God knows how many years.It was lovely, though, to sit on the badly built bunk-bed and discuss the sheer horribleness of the art on the walls.

Liked: Yves was very friendly and helpful. The hostel was clean, near the Metro stop and in an area where food and drink were cheap. The room was top notch and very worth the price that i paid.

Liked: Not so much of a hostel as a guy renting out some rooms in an apartment block. good location though, clean and safe. free internet is always a bonus for backpackers and free use of laundry facilities. no events for social activities but pleasent enough stay with friends. friendly staff and good kitchen facilities.
