Liked: There was free parking and staff was friendly and nice and very accommodating. The place was clean and being able to have access to a full kitchen to make tea on a cold winter day was a bonus.

Disliked: The bedroom and bathroom was a bit cold. I stayed during December when it was pretty cold out. I was able to find the heat switch in the bathroom and the room heated up fairly quickly. I couldn't find the heat switch in the bedroom and was pretty cold throughout the night. They did have extra blankets, and had I arrived at the hotel earlier I'm sure I could've asked the staff to help. I didn't want to wake them up.

Liked: The staff and the atmosphere are the best parts. Everyone is so welcoming and the hostel is super clean and really just a great place to stay. There is really nothing negative about this hostel. I would recommend it to anyone!

Liked: One of the best hostels I've ever been to. More like a B&B with dormitory style accommodation. The house is immaculate and clean, and managed/worked by other travelers who look out for your needs since they understand your position. Breakfast was DIY pancakes, toast, tea/coffee, juice and oatmeal- very decent for the price. They have a TV room away from the sleeping areas and the no noise policy is strict but fair. Great place to meet people too.

Disliked: The mattress was as hard as a rock and the pillow were those flimsy kind where you need three of them to make one regular pillow.

Liked: I have stayed at many hostels in Canada and this Hostel rates as one of the best. Sara the caretaker is a wonderful and kind hostess and made my stay very enjoyable. I will be returning.

Liked: The hostel was a lovely place to stay, I felt very at home and comfortable. Cindy is a lovely host, the building is beautiful and the facilities are the best I've seen in a hostel in ages.

Liked: The atmopshere is great, the staff very friendly and you immediately feel welcome and at home. One of the best hostels around! I do not know if hostelbookers was promoted there, but honestly I did not look for it.
