Liked: Really nice place to relax on comfy sofas and meet interesting people from around the world. Nice walk to Mahone Bay. Distance from Lunenburg is more than made up for when they drop you off there! Staff are really friendly and beds are comfy.

Liked: I absolutely loved Mahone Bay, and with some help from Greg (hostel owner) I was able to discover the off-the-beaten-track places in the neighbourhood. He is an incredible source of info and fun host!

Liked: Friendly host family, laid-back vibe, location immediately between Mehone Bay and Lunenburg, in the middle of nowhere.

Liked: The owners, Greg and Trudie, are lovely: very friendly and helpful. The beds are comfy and the washrooms are just like home - easily the best I've seen at any hostel. The hostel is set back from the road. The entrance is on a bend in the road and the sign isn't lit up so it's easy to miss in the car in the dark (I did from both directions!).

Liked: Great spot - well worth staying here - liked the setup with common area and kitchen on the main floor, and bunks upstairs. Place was very clean, Showers were good, Kitchen was ideal, Room was spacious, Bed was comfy, very laid back, relaxing atmosphere, and most importantly, the host was great - They had time to exchange a few stories of the area (He even ran back to the main house to check the time of sunrise for our venture to Peggys Cove for sunrise!). The area itself is well worth a visit - Mahone Bay, Lunenberg, Peggys Cove, Hirtles Beach were all quite nice. The morning of our Peggys Cove sunrise visit, we awoke to find several deer on the lot!Overall, I had a top notch experience.
