Liked: the building was very cozy. lots of comfortable areas to sit. The cafe was very good. the free bus to the skiing was great. everyone was very friendly and all the staff were all very helpful.

Liked: It was really clean

Disliked: The price is much too high. But the only Hostel in Lake Louise. Some rooms have a loft with a ladder you have to climb up to the three beds. With a bagpack no problem, but you lost if you have suitcase.

Liked: Great location. Extremely clean and well organized. I especially like that the loft rooms have a certain amount of privacy between couples that are staying in them.

Liked: Clean, near small village (easy to get some food), lots of nature, of course.

Disliked: Bit far from Lake Louise, but we hiked and came back with hitchhiking.

Liked: Lovely building with a really good lounge for chilling out upstairs.

Disliked: None of the activities advertised actually run at this time of year. The receptionist was the least helpful I have come across in an HI hostel.

Liked: The private rooms are very clean. Two rooms share a semi-private bathroom. Single showers in separate rooms. Well equipped kitchen. Awesome open spaced meeting area upstairs.

Disliked: This is a typical North American light built house. Hence, it is very very loud for European standards. In fact it seems noticeably louder compared with other hostels in the Canadian Rockies. Especially during winter times you cannot sleep in the evening or morning due to people walking around with considerably heavier boots. Wending machine and fridges too loud, so expect disturbing noises during breakfast/dining. Also normal in other hostels
